Late-night game bar in Songpa, Seoul: Doran Honsul Bar
In short
Doran Honsul Bar Jamsil Branch is a late-night bar near Songpanaru Station in Songpa, Seoul, designed for drinking alone or with one companion. I had a Virgin Mojito, Yadoran, an Ardbeg Highball, and Orange Cinnamon, with card games, board games, and a poodle making the visit memorable. I stopped by while looking for a bar in Jamsil that stays open late.

Just as its name suggests, it is a bar with solo drinking in mind, but the layout was comfortable for two people as well.

What kind of place is Doran Honsul Bar Jamsil Branch?
It is a solo-drinking bar on the third floor of a building on Ogeum-ro 13-gil. With “honsul bar” in its name, it is run with solo guests as the default.

It opens at 7–8 p.m., making it a good time slot for carrying an evening gathering into a second round.

One standout feature is that the bar has card games and board games ready to play.

Whether I was sitting alone or facing someone across the table, there was always something to pick up when conversation paused, so there was no time to get bored.
And there is a poodle at the bar. It was wandering around inside on the day I visited, and if you like dogs, that alone is a reason to come.

Three drinks and one snack I ordered

Virgin Mojito
This was my first drink. It is a non-alcoholic mojito. It is a good choice when you want to start lightly without raising the alcohol level right away.

It is also an option that lets you start together even when you are with someone who cannot drink alcohol.

Yadoran
This was the third drink I ordered. Since its name includes “Doran,” the bar’s name, it caught my eye right away.

It worked well as the next step after the first non-alcoholic drink, when moving on to alcohol.

Ardbeg Highball
This was the last drink I ordered. Ardbeg is a single-malt whisky from Islay, Scotland, known for its strong smoky peat aroma. This highball mixes that whisky with sparkling water, so the progression became non-alcoholic drink → cocktail → whisky highball, gradually increasing the alcohol level as we wrapped up.

Orange Cinnamon
This was the snack I ordered after the drinks. It is orange sprinkled with cinnamon powder, so the plate is not heavy and it is easy to pick up a piece at a time while holding your glass.

It is a fitting menu item when you want a light snack rather than fried or stir-fried food.

How do the games work?
Card games and board games are available at the bar. You can take them out and use them right at your table, with no reservation or extra preparation needed, so you do not get bored even if you stay a long time.

It may be called a solo-drinking bar, but it is also set up nicely for two people to have a drink while playing a round of games.

Parking and getting there
Is parking available?
The bar does not provide parking. Naver Map also marks parking as unavailable and directs visitors to nearby alternative parking. Since it closes at 4 a.m., public transportation or a taxi is more convenient than driving.

How do I get there?
It is 504 m from Exit 2 of Songpanaru Station on Line 9. The address is 10 Ogeum-ro 13-gil, Songpa-gu, Seoul, and the bar is on the third floor. Knowing the floor in advance will keep you from wandering around.

A late solo drink or a round of games
Doran Honsul Bar Jamsil Branch is a solo-drinking bar 504 m from Exit 2 of Songpanaru Station, on the third floor of a building on Ogeum-ro 13-gil. It opens at 20:00 from Monday through Thursday and 19:00 from Friday through Sunday, then closes at 4 a.m. every day, making it useful for a late-night stop.
I drank in the order of Virgin Mojito, Orange Cinnamon on the side, then Yadoran and an Ardbeg Highball to finish. With card games, board games, and a poodle at the bar, time passes easily whether you go alone or with someone else. Parking is not available, so I recommend public transportation.
