Songpa bar for watermelon snacks and cream jjamppong: Wareureu Mansion
In short
Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch is a Korean bar in Songpa, Seoul. Two people ordered a Seoul Plum Highball, Tequila Sunrise, Watermelon Wanjeon Wareureu, and creamy jjamppong, pairing refreshing fruit with a rich seafood dish. Verdict: a strong late-night second-stop bar with plenty of seating and menu variety.

Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch for a second round after dinner in Bangi-dong
After dinner in Bangi-dong, I was looking for somewhere with a nice atmosphere for a drink and ended up at Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch (와르르맨숀 방이점). It stays open late and has a wide variety of food and drinks, so it suited a second-round bar stop in Bangi-dong perfectly. There were two of us this time, and we ordered a Seoul Plum Highball, Watermelon Wanjeon Wareureu, a Tequila Sunrise, and Wareureu Banjeom Cream Jjamppong.

Spacious seating and late hours
The bar is on the second floor of the building at 11-8 Ogeum-ro 11-gil in Songpa-gu, Seoul. It was easy enough to find in Bangi-dong's dining alley, and once inside, the space was much larger than I expected from outside. There was plenty of room between tables, plus sofa seating, so it was easy to settle in and talk comfortably.

Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch is said to be open from 2 PM until 4 AM the next day from Sunday through Thursday, and until 5 AM the next day on Fridays and Saturdays. Since it stays open so late, it seemed especially useful when looking for a Bangi-dong bar to move to after dinner.

The interior felt a little more polished and tidy than a typical indoor pocha, or Korean tent-style pub. There was also a large screen on one side, so visiting with friends on a sports-game day looked like it would be fun. With seating that could fit several people, it also seemed like a good option for a small gathering or a second round after a company dinner.

A broad menu, from bar food to dessert
Looking over the menu, there were lots of options, as you would expect from a Korean food bar: substantial dishes that could properly fill you up, lighter snacks to pick at, and even desserts. It was not focused on just one style, which made ordering easy even when everyone had different tastes.

Seoul Plum Highball and Tequila Sunrise
I started with the Seoul Plum Highball. The clean, sweet-tart flavor characteristic of maesil, or Korean green plum, blended naturally with the alcohol, so it did not feel heavy. Unlike a highball that is simply sweet, it had a slight tang that worked well with food, making it a neat choice for a first drink. If you are ordering several dishes at Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch, it is an easy drink to enjoy alongside them.

The Tequila Sunrise had a distinctly different mood from the moment I saw it. It was sweet and refreshing with fruit-forward flavors, while tequila still had just the right amount of presence, making it nice to sip slowly. Its character was clearly different from the Seoul Plum Highball, so alternating between the two was fun too.

Watermelon Wanjeon Wareureu with cream cheese and honey
The dish that caught my eye most that day was Watermelon Wanjeon Wareureu. True to its name, the bowl arrived piled generously with watermelon, and the presentation alone was striking. The watermelon was cut into large pieces to pick up one by one, making it easy for two people to share, and the cool fruit freshened up my palate between drinks. The watermelon was chilled and sweet enough to be delicious on its own, but dipping it into the cream cheese and acacia honey served alongside turned it into a completely different dessert. The watermelon’s juiciness met the soft, nutty richness of cream cheese, with honey adding its sweet flavor. If you like fruit bar snacks, this is a good choice at a Bangi-dong second-stop bar instead of heavier fried food.

Wareureu Banjeom Cream Jjamppong with scallops and seafood
For our main bar dish, we ordered Wareureu Banjeom Cream Jjamppong. From the name alone, I expected a simple noodle dish with cream, but when it arrived, it was much more substantial than that. As you can see in the photo, scallops and other seafood stood out, and it came with plenty of broth, so it felt like a proper full dish.

The mild flavor of cream came through first, followed by the signature spicy kick of jjamppong, which kept it from becoming too rich. If it had only been a strong cream sauce, I might have tired of it midway through, but the pleasantly spicy flavor kept it balanced and had me reaching for another spoonful. The savory flavor from the seafood also blended into the broth, giving it a character clearly different from ordinary cream pasta.

It was especially fun to pick the scallops apart one at a time, and eating the broth and noodles together gave me both richness and heat. While Watermelon Wanjeon Wareureu played a cool, refreshing role, the cream jjamppong brought warmth and deep flavor, so the two dishes paired better than I expected. If I had to choose just one bar dish at Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch, the cream jjamppong would be a memorable pick.
The basic service was satisfying too. The staff made the ordering process easy and quickly handled anything we needed, so the flow of the meal was never interrupted. Even though the space was large, the overall atmosphere was not chaotic, making it comfortable to talk and easy to stay seated for a while.

A Bangi-dong second round with contrasting dishes
Bangi-dong has so many bar options, but when you want a light drink after dinner and still want to eat proper bar food, the criteria shift a little, don't they? As a Bangi-dong second-stop bar, its late hours, spacious seating, and variety of food were clear strengths.
More than anything, I felt we chose well that day because we could enjoy the fresh taste of the Seoul Plum Highball, the sweetness of the Tequila Sunrise, the cool juice of Watermelon Wanjeon Wareureu, and the spicy, rich broth of Wareureu Banjeom Cream Jjamppong in such different ways. Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch is a place where it is fun to combine several dishes rather than relying on just one. The overall balance of atmosphere, food, drinks, and friendly service was good at Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch.
