I visited Kuu Kuu again after a long while. The place is genuinely huge and the food lineup is so varied that I've always thought of it as the go-to spot for family gatherings in Nowon! Lots of families really do come here, and there's food for every age and taste. Let's take a look!

Where is Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch, and where do you park?
Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch is on the 6th floor of the Seoul Oncheon Building at 247 Nowon-ro, Nowon-gu. The parking lot entrance is at the back of the building, and you get 2 hours of free parking when you park at Seoul Oncheon Building~

I took the elevator up to the 6th floor. The Kuu Kuu Sushi Roll & Salad Bar sign came into view right away. Luckily, since I went around 5pm, there was no waiting. Lucky!
How much does Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch cost?

Prices are weekday lunch ₩27,900, weekday dinner ₩31,900, and weekend/holiday ₩35,900 (for adults/middle-high school students). Elementary school and preschool children have different pricing, so check the image! I went for the weekday dinner at ₩31,900 :)
A 300-pyeong dining hall and a private room for groups
Inside the restaurant
The whole space is done up in wood tones and white tones, so it felt bright and clean.
For a spacious, pleasant place over 300 pyeong, there were a lot of guests — I mostly photographed the empty seats!
The space is divided into sections, so I thought it would work well for parties or gatherings too.
There's also a private room for group bookings, from a minimum of 40 up to 60 people. Keep this in mind if you're looking for a spot for a family gathering or company dinner in Nowon!!

After finding a seat, I went to get food, and there were really so many kinds of sushi and dishes here that I loved it.
Sushi, gunkan and rolls: why the peony shrimp sushi wins
Sushi, gunkan, rolls
There were truly so many varieties of sushi, gunkan (battleship sushi), and rolls. I usually like to try a bit of everything at a buffet, but here there were literally dozens of kinds of sushi, gunkan, and rolls, so I just picked out the ones I most wanted haha
There wasn't just one kind of shrimp sushi either — there were many different types of shrimp.
There was even peony shrimp sushi with an upgraded shrimp flavor, which I totally recommend!!

I had the sushi with a whole shrimp on top of the rolled egg, and it was fresh and delicious.

I heard the flounder and salmon sushi got upgraded too, so I tried them — both the flounder and salmon were big cuts, fresh and delicious haha

You can tell how good the sushi was from how many times I went back for more. At a sushi buffet, the food only keeps rotating and staying fresh when there are a lot of customers, and Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch was exactly that kind of place — busy enough for good turnover, so the food stayed fresh.
Norwegian raw salmon sashimi and the seafood and meat corner
Norwegian raw salmon sashimi, newly launched
A launch not even at the Kuu Kuu Gold branch — Norwegian raw salmon sashimi! It's not just sushi here, there's raw salmon sashimi too.
Both the vinegar-chili sauce and soy sauce went so well with the salmon sashimi!!
Beyond that, there's steamed shrimp, steamed blue crab, steamed rock oysters, and grilled king oyster mushrooms.
Lamb ribs, pork back ribs, smoked duck — the meat selection is really varied too. The tender lamb ribs are available all day, and smoked duck is only on the menu for weekday dinner and weekend/holiday, so if you want a fuller experience, go for weekday dinner or weekend/holiday!!

Ankimo soup
Pizza, fried food, made-to-order noodles and the Chinese corner

Fried food corner

For made-to-order dishes, you could order jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles), jjambbong (spicy seafood noodles), udon, or cold buckwheat noodles.

There was also a wide range of Chinese dishes like palbochae (eight-treasure stir-fry), dongpo pork belly, and gochujapchae (spicy pork with vegetables).

Guobaorou (sweet and sour pork), kkanpung chili shrimp, mala shrimp
The salad corner had all kinds of salads, kimchi, and even yukhoe (raw beef tartare)~
Vegetables and yogurt toppings!

Needless to say there's a huge variety of sushi, but having salmon sashimi on top of that is a real bonus, and besides the sushi, the cooked dishes were all delicious too! The food is tasty and varied, making this a great buffet for a special occasion.
Dessert at Kuu Kuu: coffee, marble ice cream, lychee and rambutan
From here on, it's dessert time.
There's a coffee machine, so you can have Americano, café latte, or hot chocolate to your taste.

Marble ice cream used to only be on the weekday dinner and weekend menus, but apparently it's been upgraded so you can enjoy it at lunch too. Kids love it so much, so make sure to bring them along for a family gathering...
Is marble ice cream all there is? Not quite — right next to it there's regular ice cream too, and it's all delicious. There are many flavors, so enjoy whichever suits your taste!!

The fruit corner — I honestly didn't expect this many kinds of fruit laid out lol. Watermelon, melon, chamoe (Korean melon), banana, orange, pineapple, lychee, rambutan.... If you love fruit, you have to go to Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch!!

You can enjoy dessert cakes and cookies to your heart's content too..

I had cake and coffee first as my round-one dessert

and then tried a bit of every kind of fruit..

On top of it all I had marble ice cream, which is usually too pricey to buy on its own, so I ended up really full ^...^ But even full, the food was so good and the desserts so nice that I kept going back for more..?! Next time I'm coming back and paying with my own money..
Is the 90-minute limit at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch enough time?
You can also earn points, so if this were near my home, I think I'd come often whenever I crave a buffet, sushi, or salmon sashimi. They say the time limit is 90 minutes if other guests are waiting, but it took me less time than that to eat everything I wanted. It was more relaxed than I expected, so go check it out!!
