Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch, a sushi buffet in Nowon, is located near Hagye-dong, and the place is so big that it's great for both family meals and group gatherings. Overall it's a bright, wood-toned space spanning about 300 pyeong.

You can also use an independent space almost like booking a private venue, and there's a room that seats up to 60, so if you're planning a gathering, it's a good idea to reserve ahead.

Marble ice cream at lunch, raw salmon sashimi only at dinner and weekends

It's not just sushi and rolls — Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch has Norwegian raw salmon sashimi on the weekday dinner and weekend/holiday menu, which isn't even at the Gold branch, plus smoked duck and lamb chops. The lamb chops are apparently available all day. I came for lunch this time, so I'll definitely have to come back for those, haha.

The marble ice cream that everyone, young and old, loves used to only be available on weekday dinners or weekends, but now it's been upgraded so you can enjoy it at lunch too. I couldn't stop eating it for dessert.

What was on the buffet at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch?

Look at these visuals, haha. The fish pieces are bigger than before, so the salmon and flounder really filled my mouth. The salmon was unbelievably good. As a salmon lover, I can't forget the salmon I had at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch — it was that good.

There are so many different kinds of food that instead of piling your plate high right from the start, it's better to go back often and bring a little at a time — that way you can eat the warm dishes while they're still fresh. And since dishes get taken away quickly once people start grabbing them, empty spots get refilled fast too 😏

With so much variety, it can honestly be a bit of a selection headache. I wanted to try a bit of everything, so I was busy carrying full plates back and forth, haha. It's inevitable, really. When families eat out together, someone likes sushi, someone likes meat, and the kids want something sweet — being able to each grab what you want is one of the biggest perks of a buffet.

Dessert at Kuu Kuu: fruit, yogurt and marble ice cream

And of course, you have to save room for dessert, haha. Fresh fruit piled high, a scoop of tangy yogurt on top, and you absolutely cannot leave without having the marble ice cream. There's a delicious combination for the marble ice cream, so keep it in mind and enjoy 😆

When you want sushi, meat, and a variety of food and dessert all in one place, Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch, a sushi buffet in Nowon, has it all covered — perfect for family meals when everyone has different tastes, and equally well suited for group gatherings. I hadn't been to Kuu Kuu in a while, and I ate so much I doubt I'll be craving sushi again for a while, haha.
