What comes with the Jeonggalhansang set for two

Here's the Jeonggal-han-sang for two. It really is a neat, tidy table setting just as the name says. It brought back memories of the bossam set meal I used to eat near my old university — haha, they gave steamed egg and doenjang stew too!

Jeonggal-han-sang set with rice, doenjang stew, steamed egg and salad

Myeongji Cheotjip's Jeonggal-han-sang comes with rice, doenjang (soybean paste) stew, steamed egg, salad, bossam, kimchi, radish salad, tofu, wrapping greens and vegetables. They also set out four basic side dishes partway through — stir-fried fish cake, seasoned doraji (bellflower root), namul (seasoned greens), and gungchae (aster greens).

Table setting with four additional basic side dishes

I wish every meal came served like this ^^ The seasoning wasn't heavy, just clean flavors — a Korean rice restaurant that everyone, young or old, would like without exception. The refreshing salad was tasty too.

How does the bossam taste?

The bossam was moist and tender, and being served warm made it even better — I kept wrapping it up again and again with kimchi and radish salad. No gamey smell from the meat, and the balance of lean meat to fat was just right, so it was neither greasy nor dry, just delicious.

Warm soft tofu topped with bossam and kimchi

The warm soft tofu was light and clean eaten with the bossam kimchi, and the soft steamed egg practically melted in my mouth as I spooned it up. I really, really enjoyed this healthy, delicious table spread ><

Dessert drinks and nine kinds of jeotgal to take home

On the way to pay, they serve you a cold drink, coffee, and dessert too.

Display of 9 types of jeotgal sold for takeout

They also sell 9 types of jeotgal (salted seafood) to take home. Try them and if you like them, buy some to go — I don't eat jeotgal myself so I can't vouch for the taste, but since the side dishes are so clean and delicious, the jeotgal must be great too, right? Now I'm curious about the table set that comes with all 9 types ❤️

A warm, neat table spread — if you want a hearty, healthy meal, this is the Jangyu, Gimhae bossam restaurant to visit: Myeongji Cheotjip.
