Namwirye shabu-shabu with 3 self-bar bowls and 3-hour parking: Dadam

After shopping at Space One in Namyangju, I went looking for dinner and wanted something filling — that's how I found Dadam Shabu Shabu & Wolnamssam Wirye Branch, a local favorite in Wirye.

Dadam Shabu Shabu & Wolnamssam Wirye Branch is on the 3rd floor, Unit 305, G&G Plaza, 45 Wiryegwangjang-ro, Sujeong-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, about 524m from Exit 3 of Namwirye Station (Line 8). Parking is at the G&G Plaza lot, with a generous 3 hours supported.

It was nice that we had enough time to even go eat, take a walk, and come back!

What the floor-to-ceiling window dining room feels like

Dadam Shabu Shabu Wirye Branch has floor-to-ceiling windows, so you get a full view of downtown Wirye. It's super modern for a shabu-shabu place, and the seats are spaced generously, so it looked great for families as well as friends or groups!

You just grab everything yourself at the self-bar!

Weekday dinner: all-you-can-eat beef for 21,900 won

The weekday dinner (public holidays included) all-you-can-eat beef at Dadam Shabu Shabu Wirye Branch is ₩21,900, with a 2-hour time limit. We ate until we were stuffed and still had ice cream — it was plenty!

Inside the self-bar: three bowls and your choice of broth

I loved that you could make your own wolnamssam wraps!! You can even make your own porridge!

At a lot of self-bars you end up piling everything into one bowl, but at Dadam Shabu Shabu Wirye Branch they give you three separate bowls from left to right — one for shabu vegetables, one for meat, and one for wrap ingredients — which made things feel a lot more hygienic! You can choose the broth from seafood, spicy, or clear, and we picked seafood and spicy!

There were even two kinds of mandu (dumplings) — kimchi and meat — plus cheese rice cakes, sweet potato rice cakes, kalguksu noodles, rice noodles, and so many other add-ins that it was so fun to pick whatever we liked ㅠㅠㅠ

There were also three sauces — peanut, chili, and soy sauce. The peanut sauce especially was really nutty and delicious!

The wolnamssam ingredients were fresh and super varied too — cabbage, cucumber, julienned carrots, pineapple, and more!!

Hahaha, my husband piled his plate sky-high. But once it all cooked down, there wasn't actually that much left,, he brought back mandu, enoki mushrooms, frozen tofu?, napa cabbage, and all sorts of things!

The best combination: pineapple rice paper wraps and shabu porridge

Being able to make your own wolnamssam wraps was so great! The pineapple + meat + peanut sauce combo especially was the best ㅜㅠ

You have to finish shabu-shabu with porridge, right? Rice + sesame oil + egg. The kalguksu was good too, but this porridge was the best of all!

Dessert at Dadam, plus what you can take home

There's coffee, vanilla ice cream, and other desserts, so you can handle both your meal and dessert in one visit! Getting dessert too for the price of one meal was so nice!

And the vanilla ice cream at the end was the perfect finish~~🤍 They also said takeout is available! It seemed like a great option for people living alone or families eating at home to grab some to go!
