Seosan Lake Park dakgalbi restaurant: set for 3 with udon, Neuru Jip
In short
Neuru Jip Seosan Lake Park Branch is a dakgalbi (spicy stir-fried chicken) restaurant facing the lake park in Seosan, Chungnam. Three coworkers booked a table on a Sunday evening and ordered the Fred Set for 3, which brought cheese bomb dakgalbi, a budae-jjigae stew in an earthenware pot and iron-pot fried rice, with udon noodles added on. The chicken at Neuru Jip came thick and included bone-in cuts, making it an easy pick for a work dinner or a family meal out.

Today I'm introducing Neuru Jip Seosan Lake Park Branch.
Neuru Jip Seosan Lake Park Branch: hours and parking
- 🕒 Hours: Weekdays 16:00-24:00 / Weekends 12:20-24:00
- 🚘 Parking: Ample free parking around the restaurant
On a Sunday evening as the weekend wrapped up, I visited Neuru Jip Seosan Lake Park Branch for dinner with my coworkers. We had booked ahead. I generally love dakgalbi, so I was looking forward to trying theirs.
For anyone hunting for a good restaurant near Seosan Lake Park, here's my review.
Finding the restaurant by Seosan Lake Park

You can park roadside and walk right up to the restaurant. The sign is big and easy to spot, and since it's near the lake park, it's not hard to find. There are other restaurants nearby too, so it's a good spot for family outings as well.

Right outside the restaurant there's a simple menu board. Dakgalbi is the main item, with 5 varieties. You can adjust the spice level and pick toppings for each!

Apparently Neuru Jip was selected nationwide as a great dakgalbi spot in the 2026 Blue Ribbon Survey. It's a place that always does its best to serve the tastiest dakgalbi with carefully chosen ingredients and honest cooking methods ✨
Inside Neuru Jip: seating and the self-bar

It's a spacious restaurant that can seat anywhere from 2 people to large groups. When we visited, there were plenty of families and coworker groups there for dinner too.

The self-bar has plates and basic side dishes ready to go.

I love restaurants with a self-bar because you can easily grab more side dishes. The self-bar at Neuru Jip Seosan Lake Park Branch was kept nice and clean.

They're also running a Naver receipt review event. You get a free tteok sari (rice cake noodle) or a drink, so keep that in mind and join in‼️
What comes in the Fred Set for 3?

Since there were 3 of us, we went with the Fred Set (3 people). It comes with dakgalbi for 3, perilla oil buckwheat noodles, and iron-pot fried rice. Besides dakgalbi, they also serve gopchang budae jeongol, tteok-dori-tang, and gop-dori-tang.

The basic side dishes were corn kernels, napa cabbage kimchi, garlic, peppers, perilla leaves, and ssamjang (dipping sauce). If you need more, just grab it from the self-bar.
Cheese bomb dakgalbi: thick chicken, bone-in cuts included

Here's the main dish we ordered: cheese bomb dakgalbi. True to its name, there's a ton of cheese piled in the middle. It comes pre-cooked, so you just warm it up a bit and eat it with the chicken once the cheese melts.
The owner cuts the chicken for you personally. Most dakgalbi I've had before was mostly meat and vegetables, but Neuru Jip's dakgalbi stands out because the chicken is really thick and they include bone-in pieces too.

Stretching the cheese from the spicy seasoned dakgalbi and eating it with the cabbage is amazing. The vegetables and sweet potato mixed in are also seasoned well, so they're really tasty.

Why adding udon noodles is worth it
We added udon noodles too. Of course you have to add udon noodles when you're eating dakgalbi.
After cutting the dakgalbi, they loosen up the udon noodles for you.

Can you see the seasoning soaked into the udon noodles⁉️ It's genuinely delicious, so please add udon noodles..!

The budae-jjigae stew that comes with the set
This is the budae-jjigae (Korean army stew) that comes with the set alongside the dakgalbi. It's loaded with ham and various ingredients, so it was really hearty. Eating the cheese dakgalbi and then having a spoonful of the broth is the best.

Finishing with iron-pot fried rice
Once you've had the dakgalbi, of course you have to finish with fried rice. We're the rice people, after all (?). It's the kind of thing where people even greet each other by asking if you've eaten rice yet • • The owner fries the rice in the leftover sauce.

The crispy bits stuck to the iron pot are the absolute best. We all said we were full while eating the dakgalbi, but once the fried rice showed up, we ended up finishing it all anyway. How could we resist with fried rice right in front of us‼️
If you're someone who always needs fried rice after a meal, you have to order this.
Is Neuru Jip good for a work dinner or family meal?
Eating dakgalbi with my coworkers here confirmed that this really is a solid restaurant near Seosan Lake Park.
I was satisfied with the variety in the set menu — cheese bomb dakgalbi, budae-jjigae stew, and fried rice all in one. If you're looking for a dakgalbi restaurant or a spot for a family meal or work dinner near Seosan Lake Park, I recommend Neuru Jip Seosan Lake Park Branch‼️
