Daejeon, the city of flour, also does great burgers — and Burgiz is one of the most famous handmade burger spots around 🍔🧡
In early September their 4th location opened near Sungsimdang 🎉 Here's my review from the brand-new, one-week-old shop

Where is Burgiz Daeheung? 2 minutes from the Sungsimdang flagship store
Burgiz Daeheung is at 38 Daeheung-ro 139beon-gil, Jung-gu, Daejeon, 1st floor, a two-minute walk from Sungsimdang's flagship store. It opened in early September as Burgiz's fourth location.
It's literally a 2-minute cut from Sungsimdang's flagship store — right in front of the entrance to the Daejeon Lifelong Learning Center parking lot! (That lot is great for free parking, but it's under construction right now ㅜ)

With most chain burgers, the ad photo and the real thing look pretty different, right? Spoiler: here the real thing beats the photo. Visuals are insane
Burgiz Daeheung hours and what the restaurant is like inside
Burgiz Daeheung is open 11am to 8:30pm every day, weekdays and weekends alike, with no break time. Last order is at 7:50pm.
The place is really spacious and spotless.. the inside feels cool and open with high ceilings 🤎 Not long after we sat down, solo diners, couples, and groups of friends kept coming in haha
We got a bright greeting the moment we walked in.. the owner and staff were so kind ✨ Full of energy, loved it 💪🏻 (I'm the type who writes longer reviews for kind places lol). The seats had tile and green accents too
Flowers and green plants celebrating the opening had a real presence too (congrats on the opening, sir ☁️💐🫧)
And there was a super covetable burger-print T-shirt lol, merch only a good restaurant would have.. trust Burgiz ❤️ I want to be the kind of person who can say 'give me A through P on that shirt' (goals)
Loved that it's an open kitchen too!! And this perfectly aligned setup of bottles and cans.. total peace of mind 🕊️ So many drinks and bottled beer!! Ugh, if I didn't have plans after this I'd totally do a burger-and-beer combo.. next time I'm having one with Budweiser 💛
There was a self-serve zone off to the side with sauces and water, and the really nice touch was a sink right next to it for washing your hands!! Ready to go before eating, and even with forks available, fries just taste better eaten with your hands after, right? (If you disagree, that's fine too, to each their own..)

Yeah, we ordered a lot lol. How many burgers can you handle in one sitting? Because 3 burgers for two people is honestly an easy course
The moment this came out I started drooling and my jaw dropped at the same time.. oh no, the portions here are insane, this is a total 'Jang Wonyoung burger' 👸🏻🪄✨🎩 (is that reference still landing, guys?)
It looks even better in real life than in the photo... so Burgiz, you're a 'looks better in person' type, huh? Are you drooling too right now? I already ate and I'm still drooling, why lol
Partly because we over-ordered, but honestly, just looking at this is healing, right? (I'm the type who heals through delicious food 🙌🏻)
Hangover burger, 10,800 won: fried egg and hash brown
Burgiz has over 10 kinds of burgers. Aside from the veggie and chicken burgers, they're all beef patty based, and you can pick according to your taste and add extra fillings!
Among the three signature burgers (Hangover, Godfather, Mushroom), the priciest one is the Hangover (₩10,800)
Beyond the beef patty, cheese, and veggies, the twist is the fried egg and hash brown inside 💛
Mushroom burger, 10,300 won: mozzarella-stuffed fried mushroom
The beef patty wasn't greasy and tasted great, made me think the double-patty menu items must be good too ㅜㅜ And then the one I was most curious about, the Mushroom (₩10,300)
That fried thing in the middle — is that mozzarella stuffed inside a mushroom, deep-fried 🍄? I couldn't quite picture it, but then
I got so moved eating it that I just started filming a video lol.. I'm so happy to live in a country with so many food lovers 💚
Burger kiss~~ But does this place only nail the burgers?
Pepperoni cheese fries, 6,800 won, piled onto the burger
Burgiz Daeheung's Pepperoni Cheese Fries (₩6,800) come topped with bacon crumble and red pepper, giving them a bit of a kick. The fries themselves are also fantastic — we ate them alongside the fries that came with the set.
The bacon crumble was so good, and the red pepper gave it a slight spicy kick!
So we piled it onto the burger and it never got tiring, absolutely amazing. Is this a burger or a pizza~~🍔🤍🍕
And you have to try milkshake + fries, that sweet-and-salty combo is insane..
For drinks they give you a cup and you fill it yourself — Zero Coke, Zero Cider, and Dr Pepper 🍒🥤 No need to worry about refills, the cup's big enough 🩵

Back when I was a Busan local, I used to look for Daejeon local specialties like kalguksu, dubu duruchigi, or bone grill-outs. Now it's Burgiz handmade burgers instead — go once, you won't regret it, I promise ✨ Once you taste a truly juicy, rich burger like this, chain burgers just feel boring..
Gotta stop by for Sungsimdang siru next time too. Burgiz Daeheung, keep doing great 🍀
