Why we picked Cenacolo Artfore for lunch near Songdo Central Park

My husband and I decided to have lunch around Songdo Central Park, so we went to Cenacolo Artfore. We'd made a reservation a few days ahead. If you're looking for a nice atmosphere in Songdo, or searching for a Songdo Central Park restaurant, an Artfore restaurant, or a Songdo pasta spot, Cenacolo is definitely worth a visit. It's inside Artfore, so it's easy to get to, and convenient after parking.

How to find Cenacolo Artfore on the 2nd floor of Artfore, and where to park

Cenacolo is on the 2nd floor of Artfore in Songdo, so it wasn't hard to find. Park in zones C or D underground, come up to the 1st floor, and take the escalator up — you'll see it right away, so even first-timers should have no trouble. We took a walk hand-in-hand in the nearby park too. We still hold hands, haha.

Around Artfore there's a good mix of restaurants and cafés, so it's also nice to walk around and check out other spots before or after the meal.

What really caught my eye from the outside was the Blue Ribbon mark!!! Not just anyone gets a Blue Ribbon!!!!! I'd heard so much about how good it was that my expectations were sky-high even before going in. I'd looked at a lot of places while searching for restaurants near Songdo Central Park, and seeing the Blue Ribbon sticker made me trust this one even more.

QR code ordering: how busy is Cenacolo Artfore at the 11am opening?

At Cenacolo Artfore you order right from a QR code at the table, which was convenient. No need to flag down a staff member with the menu in hand — just take your time choosing from your seat. Super simple. I've gotten used to this kind of instant ordering lately, so it actually feels easier now.

Cenacolo opens at 11, and we arrived right at opening time. Even so, two tables were already seated ahead of us. Guess that's what it means to be a famous restaurant near Songdo Central Park, haha. As it gets closer to lunchtime more people were probably going to come in, so if you want a relaxed meal, I'd recommend visiting right at opening or a bit earlier. The view of Artfore through the window was pretty nice too.

Overall the vibe was calm yet sophisticated, so it seemed well suited to a date, a lunch with friends, or a family meal out. The tables weren't cramped together either, so we could eat comfortably.

Inside, the table setting was neat and pretty — I especially loved the cutlery!!! And honestly, the pre-meal bread was so good!!! It had a slight spicy kick, and my husband kept saying he wanted more — honestly, so did I!!!

What is the signature potato gnocchi like?

Since we'd come all this way, we had to try the signature potato gnocchi!!!

The potato gnocchi is a must-order if you visit Cenacolo. The texture was chewy yet soft, and paired with the sauce it had a lovely savory flavor. Gnocchi can be heavy, but the sauce blended in so smoothly it wasn't overwhelming at all. There were finely diced mushrooms in the sauce, and I noticed the staff working hard on prepping them!!!

So we finished every bite!!! With each mouthful you get the clean flavor of potato together with the richness of the sauce, and I understood right away why it's the signature dish.

Shrimp rosé pasta and sweet shrimp risotto, tasted side by side

On top of the gnocchi, we also ordered the shrimp rosé pasta and the sweet shrimp risotto. The shrimp rosé pasta stood out for its rich, smooth rosé sauce. The shrimp added extra savoriness, and the sauce coated the noodles well, so noodles and sauce came together nicely. It wasn't too heavy or greasy, so I kept going back for more, and the plump shrimp texture matched perfectly. The shrimp were so huge that even one felt filling.

If you're looking for a Songdo pasta spot, this is a dish that will satisfy pretty much anyone. The sweet shrimp risotto had a subtle, gentle sweetness from the sweet shrimp, just as the name suggests. The soft, moist texture typical of risotto combined with the shrimp's flavor made for a uniquely delicious dish. The shrimp was cut into small pieces throughout, and the rice grains had just the right bite — so good!!!

Since the gnocchi and pasta are both soft dishes, adding the risotto let us enjoy a slightly different charm with each dish :) Ordering several dishes to share made for a much more abundant meal than sticking to just one.

Every dish looked so good just by appearance alone that our expectations were already rising before the food even arrived, haha. Ordering pasta, gnocchi, and risotto together quickly filled up the table, and it was great for sharing several dishes.

Three dishes for two: would we return to Cenacolo Artfore?

Even though there were just the two of us, we ordered a bit more than usual so we could try a variety of dishes, and in the end that was the right call. Cenacolo has such a wide range of pasta, gnocchi, and risotto that it was hard to decide what to order. With so many options, I already want to try other pastas next time. This time we mostly ordered the signature dishes, and since both the food and the atmosphere satisfied us, if we come back we'll probably pick something new.

Above all, the food was clean and well-balanced overall, and the menu lineup was great, so I'd recommend it for a date or an anniversary. We visited right at opening time so we could eat relatively at ease, but since it's a popular place, I'd suggest booking ahead on Naver if you're planning a visit!!! If you want to enjoy great pasta, gnocchi, and risotto together near Songdo Central Park, remember Cenacolo. Now for the most important part — how did the food actually taste? We tried everything, and it was even more satisfying than we expected!!! If you're looking for a nice-atmosphere restaurant in Songdo Artfore, this is a place we'd want to visit again.
