Siheung sushi restaurant: omakase aged sushi set at Crab Yasijang

In short

Crab Yasijang Geobukseom Main Branch is a crab and aged-sashimi restaurant on the ground floor of a seafront building along the Geobukseom trail in Siheung, Gyeonggi. The order was the omakase aged sushi and the Pohang-style live abalone mulhoe (cold raw fish soup) set, both served with neat sides such as fried blue crab and baby napa cabbage salad, in front of a wide-open sea view through the windows. Crab Yasijang suits a weekend outing to Geobukseom as either a date or a family meal.

On the ground floor with a wide-open view of the Geobukseom sea, giving any Oido terrace café a run for its money, this is Crab Yasijang. It's especially known for aged sashimi and crab, and it has great-value set menus, so it works for solo dining, dates, and family gatherings alike.

Crab Yasijang Geobukseom Main Branch hours and break time

Crab Yasijang's multinational course cuisine runs 11:30–22:00 on weekdays and 11:00–22:00 on weekends. There's a break time of 15:30–17:00 on weekdays, but none on weekends.

  • Weekdays 11:30–22:00 / break time 15:30–17:00
  • Weekends 11:00–22:00 / no break time

The weather right now is one of those rare days a year that's cool, warm, breezy, and perfect all at once — the kind of day you want to go on a date, the kind you want to be outside. (It's about to get cold, brace yourselves.)

Crab Yasijang is a seafood specialist offering set menus with various small sides, single-dish items, and course meals. We ordered the omakase aged sashimi sushi and the Pohang-style live abalone mulhoe. (There are many types of sushi and mulhoe to choose from.)

The set came with soft tofu and tomato, napa cabbage salad, and fried snow crab (?).

The prepped abalone looked this big, so it must be a pretty large live abalone. Freshly cleaned and springy — so fresh! The texture was king!

There was a huge amount of raw fish too. The first bite is chewy, savory, and dense, but the pieces sitting longer in the cold broth firm up and get that snappy texture — the mouthfeel was so good ♡

The thin noodles came inside the mulhoe, and rice was served separately. If you need more to eat, mixing the rice into the broth is a treat. The broth wasn't salty or harsh, so it wasn't heavy to eat.

What sides come with the Crab Yasijang set

The sides included in the Crab Yasijang set were clean and neatly done too. The crab body was packed with meat. Even eating it casually, the crab's umami burst through.

The cabbage salad in particular — I've had something like it as a course dish at a Western restaurant, and this one was legit. Soft napa cabbage with what seemed like a black sesame sauce, plus a chili sauce added in, made it nutty and spicy, really perking up the appetite.

How the aged sushi tastes, and dining with kids

The omakase sushi came out mostly with premium aged sashimi, served with a light broth on the side. True to aged sashimi sushi, it was soft yet had a chewy bite, and the depth of flavor in the raw fish made me go 'wow' after just one piece.

The rice portion is on the smaller side, so you could really taste the umami, richness, and texture of the aged sashimi even more. There's no wasabi mixed in — fresh wasabi is served separately, so it's also good for feeding sushi to kids.

Everything we ate was delicious. I saw there's a solo omakase option for raw fish too — that would probably be amazing as well. Next time I want to try the sashimi and crab course too ♡

Wow... the view is truly insane. In the daytime you get a cool, wide-open sea view, and I'm sure the night view is just as amazing!

It practically feels like you're overseas. On weather like this, you have to go to Geobukseom. If you're wondering what to do this weekend, where to go, or what to eat, come on over. (Even better — the Geobukseom public parking lot is free on weekends!)

Spacious pub-like hall with group seating

The pub-like vibe is strong and the place is spacious, so it feels open, but eating with the sea right in front of you is pure healing. Coming for a date and having a light cocktail here would set a nice mood too.

There's plenty of group seating, so it's good for family gatherings, and baby chairs are on hand. Disposable aprons are available too.

Where Crab Yasijang Geobukseom Main Branch is, and where to park

I parked at the public lot and walked over from the Wave Park side — why is this place so easy to spot?

You can spot it from the wakeboard area, and from the Geobukseom Marina parking lot too — the banner really stands out.

I thought about heading straight in through the terrace facing the sea, but I went and found the actual door instead ^^

Entrance to the restaurant along the Geobukseom trail

A lot of you will come by navigation, but if you walk along the Geobukseom trail from the Marina side, it's right there on the ground floor with the sea view. It's on a corner, so it's visible from pretty much anywhere.

You can use the building's parking lot, and on weekends the public parking lot is open for free. If both the public lot and the building lot are full, the Ibiza Tower lot offers 2 hours of support too.

There were banners and a coffee truck set up near the plaza — looks like there's an event or performance happening on weekends. They were even setting up a stage. On weather this good (which we barely get a few days a year), I highly recommend a weekend trip to Geobukseom in Oido, Ansan. It's a great spot for a date or for a good meal.
