Daegu dog café and injeolmi bingsu: Yakryeongsi Seomun Parking

In short

Yakryeongsi Seomun Public Parking Lot is a dog-friendly café in Jung-gu, Daegu, with a mat playground, pool, and dog spa across its floors. I enjoyed injeolmi patbingsu for ₩15,000 while watching the dogs play, even without bringing a pet. Verdict: a relaxing and unusual date-stop café.

A dog-friendly café discovered in Dongseong-ro

Last weekend, we suddenly went, “Let’s go to the E-World fireworks show in Daegu!!!” and stopped by Dang House & Bingsu King for some healing time before entering with our evening tickets ☺️☀️

It is in a standalone building at 95-2 Jungang-daero 81-gil, Jung-gu, Daegu. It was listed as open daily from 11:00 to 20:00, with the daycare from 08:00 to 20:00 and the café from 11:00 to 22:00. Parking is not available.

Dang House & Bingsu King, a Daegu dog-date spot, is in a standalone building less than a 10-minute walk from Exit 1 of Jungangno Station on Line 1. There is no dedicated parking, so we parked in a nearby alley and walked over!

The first floor has the bingsu café, swimming pool, and grooming salon; the second floor has a mat playground and hotel; and the third floor is the daycare. The different spaces were neatly organized floor by floor.

When entering, you change into indoor slippers, and self-service hygiene supplies are also provided so everyone can stay safe.

Since it is a dog café, it would be good to check the rules in advance if you are bringing your pet 📢

They also sell pet soap for dogs’ delicate skin!

We visited on a weekend afternoon, and it was nice that it was not crowded. Most visitors seemed to be families with kindergarten or elementary-school children, or dog lovers~! The café was clean and spacious, with a relaxed atmosphere.

The mat playground and outdoor pool area

Head up to the second floor and, haha, there is a mat playground for the doggies. It is spacious, so they can run around happily and blow off all that stress-!!

There are photo spots for the doggies, too. We could not enter the third-floor daycare because we were not users! Back down on the first floor… this little one was the cutest ㅠㅠ So gentle, and you let yourself get caught by my camera..★ Even if you do not bring a dog, you can simply use the café and get thoroughly healed by watching other people’s doggies haha.

Outside on the first floor, there was a pool and an artificial-grass area decorated in fresh green.

It even has a dog spa area. The doggies would be so happy if you brought them here, right? 💚

How was the injeolmi patbingsu?

It is easy to assume a dog café will only have a few drinks and maybe simple bingsu, but the lineup here was so dazzling that my jaw dropped as soon as I saw the menu board in front of the counter! There were not only simple drinks but coffee, juice, tea, ade, smoothies, and bingsu, plus all kinds of desserts including cookies, croffles, cakes, tarts, and financiers. There were also foods such as tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), fried rice, and pasta, and of course dog treats for the pups. This goes way beyond a simple dog-café menu—it is practically a restaurant with nothing missing..?

🍧 Injeolmi patbingsu (shaved milk ice with roasted soybean powder and red beans) ₩15,000

₩15,000 in total. Since this is Bingsu King, we thought, let’s try the most classic bingsu! So that is what we chose!!

Ordered injeolmi patbingsu

This is the injeolmi patbingsu! It was so generous it filled a wide brass bowl, with roasted soybean powder, red-bean topping, ice cream, nuts, sweet condensed milk for topping, and even Jolly Pong puffed-grain cereal. It gets a huge pass just on looks.

Injeolmi patbingsu served in a brass bowl

Inside, it was not plain ice but milk ice that melted softly in the mouth. It is a dog café, yet the bingsu is seriously delicious haha. It came in a brass bowl, and maybe because of that, the ice barely melted until we finished it and stayed cold for ages, which I really loved. It was my first time having bingsu that even came with Jolly Pong, so I thought the owner was truly a food genius!!

Bingsu topped with injeolmi soybean powder and toppings

Fine ice was completely covered in nutty injeolmi soybean powder, then paired with smooth vanilla ice cream, sliced almonds, and just-sweet-enough red bean paste. From the first bite, a soft, nutty flavor spread through my mouth. Adding chewy injeolmi rice cake pieces and the separately served crunchy Jolly Pong according to my taste gave it an extra sweet-and-crisp texture! Drizzle on the sweet condensed milk and gently mix it all together, and the sweet, nutty flavor melts smoothly in your mouth without any heaviness 😆

It was my first visit to a dog café, so I arrived excited, and it turned out to be a spacious, pleasant place where the dogs could run around freely—I had a lovely time the whole time 💕 Even without your own pet, simply watching other people’s cute doggies scamper about is healing. Add cool, sweet bingsu, and it is the best!!! It was perfect as a date course, too, since we could quietly take a break and make a different kind of memory. This is the place that made me fall completely for the charm of dog cafés, and I think I will remember it whenever I need some healing. I definitely recommend visiting Dang House & Bingsu King 😆💛
