A quick-frozen pork dinner in Daegu's Jongno
Tonight, we came to Suyeong Naengsam, a popular spot in Daegu's Gyodong, for a quick-frozen pork dinner.
Suyeong Naengsam Daegu Direct Store is on the first floor at 570-18 Gukchaebosang-ro, Jung-gu, Daegu, and is said to be open from 16:00 to 24:00. On Saturdays and Sundays, it stays open until 01:00, and it is regularly closed on the second and fourth Sunday of each month.
How close is it to Jungangno Station?
It is in the alley by Dongmyeong Izakaya at the February Hotel intersection in Daegu Jongno, across from the main entrance of Arion Hotel Daegu Jongno. It is said to be a 3-minute walk from Jungangno Station Exit 1, a 7-minute walk from The Hyundai Daegu, Donga Shopping, and Samsung Life Insurance, and a 5-minute walk from CGV Daegu Hanil. It was very close to Jungangno Station, so it was easy to find.
We arrived early in the evening, so there was plenty of room at first, but the seats filled up in no time.
Quick-frozen sliced pork and green onion kimchi
To start, we ordered two servings of quick-frozen sliced pork and two servings of quick-frozen pork belly.
They explained that the green onion kimchi was made in-house, and maybe that is why it went so well with the meat—we refilled it several times 👍
The quick-frozen sliced pork is said to be 1–1.5 mm thick, and I was surprised by just how thin it was.
They grill the first round for you and show you how to cook it deliciously.
That first bite was seriously delicious!! Maybe because I was hungry, but it tasted even better.

Suyeong Naengsam Daegu Direct Store has a large TV, and they say you can watch every game on both weekdays and weekends.
More quick-frozen pork belly and crispy potatoes
This is the quick-frozen pork belly we started grilling for the second round.
As expected, it was delicious with the green onion kimchi.
We wanted a little more, so we added two more servings of quick-frozen pork belly.
This time, we grilled not only the meat but also kimchi, potatoes, and mushrooms from the self-service bar.
The thin, crispy potatoes were especially good.
Finishing with fried rice and spicy mixed noodles
For our meal, we ordered Suyeong fried rice for ₩2,000.
Then we ordered spicy mixed noodles for ₩3,500. Eating them with the little bit of meat we had saved made for a nicely filling finish~
I recommend Suyeong Naengsam Daegu Direct Store to anyone wanting tasty quick-frozen pork while watching baseball in central Daegu!!
