Pohang restaurant for shrimp rosé spaghetti: Plan A Restaurant

My kids say they want to go to the sea whenever they start to forget about it!~ 🌊🌊🌊 Even without doing anything special, a weekend disappears in a flash when we breathe in the sea breeze, play in the sand, and dodge the waves.^^ Maybe because I’m an inland person(?) too, but a trip to the sea now and then feels so healing. haha

We finally made it back to Songdo Beach in Pohang after a while!~ After having fun at the beach, we went straight across the street for a delicious meal at the Songdo favorite, “Plan A Restaurant (플랜에이레스토랑).” It’s in the building right next to Songdo Starbucks, so it’s easy to find too, haha.

Located on the fourth floor, “Plan A Restaurant” is right in front of the beach! True to its restaurant setting, it has floor-to-ceiling windows and an ocean view~ a view that feels healing just to look at. But getting a window seat isn’t easy, haha.

It’s a local favorite that fills up quickly during weekend peak hours, so reservations are essential if you want to enjoy an ocean-view meal!!! You can reserve through Naver, and they’re running an event where you get a free side dish when you write a Naver reservation review! There was even a wait at noon on the weekend we visited~ If you’re planning to go, definitely! definitely!! keep this in mind. haha

Three Western dishes we chose with the kids

What did we choose at Songdo favorite “Plan A Restaurant”??? Plan A Chop Steak, 120 g for ₩22,000; carbonara for ₩15,000; and shrimp rosé spaghetti for ₩16,000. We each picked one dish we wanted to eat. The food is good, of course... but for a local favorite loved for 10 years, aren’t the prices reasonable too?~^^

Everything is made to order, so a short wait is a must~ The delicious smells from the open kitchen made our mouths water~ It’s magic that makes everything taste twice as good. haha

Chop steak with balanced sweet-and-savory flavor

First, yum yum!~ 🍽🍽🍽 The chop steak I chose had tender meat and a sweet-and-savory seasoning that wasn’t overdone. As I get a little older(?) I find myself avoiding salty food more and more...^^;;; I liked that the dishes at “Plan A Restaurant” were generally not salty or overly intense. The salad served with the chop steak was a hit with Peach Mom, while the fries were an even bigger hit with the kids!! We cleaned our plates right up!~ haha

Shrimp rosé loaded with minced shrimp

The shrimp rosé spaghetti my son chose is an absolute recommendation! I recommend it so much!~ haha It was almost at the very top for both flavor and portion among the shrimp rosé spaghettis I’ve had lately.

In particular, the sauce was loaded with minced shrimp, so every bite of spaghetti had a lovely chew, and the savory depth filled my mouth~ making it even more delicious. 🦐 We kept praising our son for choosing the shrimp rosé!~ haha

Carbonara that isn’t heavy

Lastly, one of our youngest child’s favorite dishes!~ “Carbonara.” It has a rich nuttiness without being heavy!~ It’s a flavor everyone can enjoy, with no strong likes or dislikes.^^

Where should you park by Songdo Beach?

The busy beachfront! Where should you park when you go to Plan A Restaurant?? There’s absolutely no need to worry.^^ You can use the public parking lots in front of and behind the restaurant, as well as the Administrative Welfare Center parking lot, for free, so this Songdo favorite comes with zero parking stress. 👍
