The interior was roomier than I expected, too. From counter seats to tables for four, it looked great whether you come alone for a meal or visit with family or a group.

There was also a separate waiting area for when there is a queue. It had plenty of chairs and tables, and even a massage chair on one side! It was set up so you could relax comfortably while waiting.

What conveyor-belt sushi can you choose from?

There were so many more varieties of conveyor-belt sushi than I expected. From classic fish sushi to shrimp, eel, gunkan sushi, and rolls, so many things were going around that I had to think about what to eat first.

A wide variety of conveyor-belt sushi

I love sushi with shrimp, and this place had an especially large selection of it.

You can pick dishes as they come around on the conveyor belt, or order exactly the sushi you want from the tablet. There was a varied menu of regular sushi, seared sushi, rolls, and gunkan sushi, so it was easy to order only what I felt like eating.

Once you sit down, they serve jang-guk (clear soup) first. Soy sauce and wasabi were also provided at every table.

Aged-kimchi flounder and shrimp sushi I recommend

The mukeunji (aged kimchi) flounder was the best I have had anywhere.. The aged kimchi flavor was not too strong, so I could still taste the flounder, while its tanginess made the fish taste even cleaner. Personally, this is sushi I really want to recommend.

Aged-kimchi flounder sushi

I really love shrimp, so I was so happy that there were so many kinds of shrimp sushi here.

Several kinds of shrimp sushi

It was not just basic shrimp sushi—there were several shrimp dishes, including sushi topped with sauce and shrimp rolls.

Flounder topped with myeongi, then fruit to finish

It was my first time seeing sushi topped with myeongi (pickled wild garlic leaves). The myeongi was placed over the flounder, and it went together better than I expected. I had only ever eaten myeongi with samgyeopsal (grilled pork belly), so having it with raw fish was different and delicious.

There were three kinds of fruit, too—watermelon, pineapple, and melon. We wanted to finish with something refreshing, so we had pineapple. It was sweet and tangy, perfect for cleansing the palate.

Before we knew it, the plates had piled up like this. The two of us ate really well! There was so much delicious sushi that the plates stacked up in no time.

Receipt review event

They were also running a review event. If you write a receipt review with a food photo, a five-star rating, and two lines of text, they say you receive one free plate. I thought visitors might like to keep that in mind.

If you are looking for conveyor-belt sushi in Pohang, I recommend Hojueseo on Hoejeon Chobap! There were lots of sushi varieties and the overall quality was good, so I had a very satisfying meal. I especially loved the wide selection of shrimp sushi because I am such a shrimp fan, haha. With parking and a spacious restaurant, it is a great place for conveyor-belt sushi in Pohang.
