Mapo café for Basque cheesecake and window seats: Ieo Coffee Roasters

I was near Daeheung Station with my younger sibling when we found this café with such a lovely atmosphere :) It was Ieo Coffee Roasters Gongdeok Branch. Even the exterior was full of cozy charm—it was the kind of place that makes you want to step inside when passing by.

A charming café near Daeheung Station

Ieo Coffee Roasters Gongdeok Branch is on the first floor at 9 Baekbeom-ro 24-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul. It is open 08:00–20:00 Monday through Friday and 11:00–19:00 on Saturdays and Sundays, with last orders at 19:00 and 18:30 respectively.

There were seats by the window, and on a nice day it looked like a great spot to sit outside with a coffee. I got some life-shot photos here 📸📷

Along with coffee, there was a good variety of non-coffee drinks such as tea and ade, so I would recommend it for groups too!

Basque cheesecake and our order

There were baked treats and desserts beside the counter, and the one that immediately caught my eye was the Basque cheesecake! Of course, we had to order it 😋

Clean-tasting chamomile and nutty café latte

The iced chamomile was clean and fragrant, so it went nicely with the sweet dessert. It was refreshing to drink and left my mouth feeling fresh too—a lovely chilled drink 🍵

The iced café latte had that lovely nutty coffee flavor 🧡☕️ The milk blended in smoothly, and it paired so well with the cheesecake. This place really knows coffee, haha.

And then there was the lemonade, which looked refreshing from the moment it arrived! With slices of lemon in it, it looked wonderfully cool and tasted sweet, tart, and refreshing—just right for a hot day. If coffee is not really your thing, I think the lemonade would be a great choice :)

The Basque cheesecake I most want to recommend

The menu item I most want to recommend at Ieo Coffee Roasters Gongdeok Branch is, of course, the Basque cheesecake. You can tell from the photo that it is quite thick, right?! Once you try it, the cheese layer is incredibly moist and soft.

It melted softly and creamily in my mouth, and it was honestly so delicious. Dip it lightly into the cream served alongside it, and it becomes even softer and sweeter!! 💝 The cheese flavor was properly rich, but it was so moreish that I finished it in no time, haha. Personally, if you love Basque cheesecake, I really hope you will try it here at least once!

A seat where sunlight meets warm wood tones

It had such a warm, comfortable atmosphere, with wood-toned furniture paired with white accents 🤎 The little decorative pieces, lighting, and plants came together naturally—it was exactly the kind of vibe I love, haha.

Most of all, the sunny window seats were really pretty. The photos came out so well that my younger sibling and I took loads :) It was such a comfortable yet beautiful space that, if there were a café like this near my home, I would genuinely want to come for coffee every day 🍃💚

I would recommend Ieo Coffee Roasters Gongdeok Branch to anyone looking for a café near Daeheung Station or Gongdeok where they can quietly have a coffee and chat. It is the kind of café I think I would visit all the time if it were near my home, so do stop by if you are looking for a Daeheung Station or Gongdeok café :)
