I found this place while looking for somewhere near Sejong City Hall to eat Italian food, and they had such a varied menu, from pasta and pizza to steak. The atmosphere was neat too, so it looked great for a meal with friends or a date. That day, we ordered three things to share: the signature potato soup, bacon cream pasta, and arugula potato pizza. I’ll introduce them one by one for anyone looking for a good restaurant in Boram-dong ^^

Olivus Compagno near Sejong City Hall: location and atmosphere
Olivus Compagno is on the first floor of Gangnam Plaza in Boram-dong, near Sejong City Hall. Its red interior really catches your eye, and the atmosphere looks good-good too. The Geumgang Pedestrian Bridge is nearby as well, making this a great spot for a post-meal walk. The weather has been getting a little cooler lately, so walking over to the bridge after eating would be perfect for a Sejong date course haha.

We made a Naver reservation before going. Our table was all set when we arrived, so we could eat comfortably! Once inside, the space was nice and neat too~~ It felt a little more atmospheric than a typical casual pasta place, in a good way.

That said, it wasn’t overly formal, so it was also an easy place to pop in for pasta or pizza. I saw lots of couples on dates and families having meals haha. We visited with a baby, and it was great that they had a high chair ready~

The tables were set neatly too, so it would be good for a date or anniversary. If you’re looking for a Boram-dong restaurant in Sejong with a pleasant atmosphere that doesn’t feel too intimidating, this could definitely go on your list!!

Three orders: potato soup, cream pasta, and pizza
The menu had plenty of options, from pasta and pizza to steak. We spent ages deciding because there were so many things we wanted, but eventually chose three: signature potato soup, bacon cream pasta, and arugula potato pizza!! A pasta and a pizza alone felt just slightly not enough, so we also ordered the potato soup marked as a signature item haha. In the end, having soup, pasta, and pizza made for a nicely varied combination.

They were also running a Naver review event, and apparently you get a drink if you leave a review.

What does the signature potato soup taste like?
The first thing we tried was the signature potato soup. When something is called a signature menu item, you can’t just pass it by, right? Hahaha. Starting with warm soup before the pasta and pizza was a nice way to wake up our appetites before the main meal.

It had that smooth, nutty flavor distinctive to potato soup, so it was easy to eat without feeling heavy. One order was also fine for two people to share haha. There were pieces of bread in the soup, but adding the bread served alongside it made it even tastier~

Bacon cream pasta and pizza together
Next was my favorite, bacon cream pasta. Since cream pasta is rather hard to make at home, I think I order it often whenever I go to a restaurant haha. The nutty cream sauce and bacon made it a menu item that most people could enjoy, and it was delicious with plenty of sauce coating the noodles.

They say familiar flavors are the most dangerous, hahaha. It paired well with the pizza when we alternated between them, so if two people visit, I recommend the one-pasta-plus-one-pizza combination.

The filling arugula potato pizza combination
For the pizza, we chose the arugula potato pizza. It was topped with potato and arugula, making it a slightly different combination from typical pizza!!

The potato made it filling, while the arugula was lovely to eat alongside it. The potatoes were soft and fluffy, there was a generous amount of cheese, and it was tasty.

I wondered if ordering cream pasta and pizza together might make both feel too heavy, but choosing the arugula potato pizza made it fine to alternate between them haha. From the soup to the pasta and pizza, we finished everything very satisfied. Olivus Compagno was the Boram-dong restaurant we visited because we wanted pasta near Sejong City Hall. Its atmosphere was neat, and the varied menu of pasta, pizza, and steak made it a nice place for a meal. We liked what we ate so much that I thought we should come back to try other dishes next time haha. The prices weren’t overly burdensome either, so I recommend it if you’re craving an Italian-style meal!! Above all, I loved that it is close to the Geumgang Pedestrian Bridge, making it easy to combine lunch or dinner with a walk afterward.
