A Sachang-dong brunch that can be light or filling

Today I visited Eopcheonri382 Chungbuk National University Branch, a café in Sachang-dong, Cheongju that was great both for days when I wanted to eat light and days when I wanted a hearty brunch!

Eopcheonri382 is well known as a café, but I personally like it because it has such a wide variety of meal-worthy options, including sandwiches, salads, poke, and tortilla wraps.

It was especially good for anyone looking for a diet-friendly brunch spot or a light meal near Chungbuk National University.

I chose these three items.

Even just one sandwich was quite filling, so it worked well for lunch or a simple dinner, and it paired nicely with coffee as a brunch menu. Among cafés in Sachang-dong, Cheongju, I especially want to recommend it to anyone looking for a proper meal rather than just bread or dessert.

It is a café, but there are so many meal options that it was nice to stop by for coffee and enjoy brunch at the same time.

A retro store atmosphere

When you enter, Eopcheonri382’s distinctive retro atmosphere is the first thing that catches your eye.

Rather than feeling overly cold or modern like many cafés these days, it had a little old-fashioned charm mixed in, which made the atmosphere comfortable. The space was also nicely maintained and clean overall.

How filling was the salmon poke salad?

It had a variety of vegetables, so it was fun mixing them together in each bite. It was just right for anyone who wants to eat lightly while still feeling full.

First, the salmon poke salad I had been looking forward to most! It comes with smoked salmon, and the portion was better than I expected; the salmon itself was really delicious. Even people who get hungry quickly after eating salad would likely find it enough for a meal, since it includes brown rice and buckwheat noodles.

And the salmon tortilla wrap was more satisfying than I expected. It has salmon, but it did not feel heavy; the vegetables and salmon were neatly wrapped in a tortilla, so it felt genuinely light overall. It was perfect when I was not extremely hungry but wanted something simple, and it was easy to enjoy with coffee too.

I liked that each menu had a clear role: poke for a filling meal, the sandwich for brunch, and the tortilla wrap for a light snack or meal. Above all, Eopcheonri382 Chungbuk National University Branch has the advantage of being a salad place that you can use like a café.

It was much more filling than an ordinary salad because it came not only with greens but also brown rice and buckwheat noodles.

Visit with friends or enjoy it by delivery

It was good when I wanted a healthy meal, and it was also nice for meeting a friend over coffee and sharing a sandwich. With such a varied menu, even a larger group would find it easy for everyone to choose according to their tastes.

And on days when it is difficult to visit in person, it was convenient that you can order delivery too.

When you are craving a salad or sandwich at work or at home, it seems like a good place to order from simply when you are wondering what to have for lunch.

My overall verdict on the dishes

After trying them myself, I found the salmon poke salad filling thanks to its combination of smoked salmon, brown rice, and buckwheat noodles, while the bulgogi sandwich was satisfying because it was packed with filling.
