But let me introduce Ppajak Financier Bar (빠작 휘낭시에바), which was so delicious and crispy that I went out of my way to find it 😊

Where do I park?

Since it isn't on the tourist side of town, alley parking is possible, so parking was easy. One car can park in front of the café too, so check there first, then park along the nearby roadside or in an alley.

The seating and atmosphere inside

The café isn't huge, but it has enough tables, so we ate inside 😊

The window seats have that local feel too—so good 👍

Financiers and baked goods

The moment I walked in, it smelled incredibly nutty and delicious!! There were more kinds of baked goods than I expected.

There were so many that even just listing the financiers came to this many 🤣👍

They also have lots of other desserts, including chewy cookies, Shanghai butter rice cake, French home-style pies and quiche, salt bread, crème brûlée, egg tarts, and more 👍

Decaf drinks are available, and the seasonal menu includes fruit ade plus a range of non-coffee drinks.

Thank-you gifts and gift wrapping

This place is also known for thank-you gifts and gift wrapping. Everything is beautifully packed in orange Hermès-style boxes, making it perfect to give to someone.

They have wrapping boxes in all sizes, so I recommend the gift wrapping too!

Udo peanut chewy rice cake financier

Wow, this Udo peanut chewy rice cake financier was so good that I even packed a few to take home. It was wonderfully chewy with peanut jam inside, and rich enough that one alone felt filling. They use gourmet butter as standard, so the buttery aroma was intense and delicious. It was also drizzled with Valrhona chocolate—a delicious-plus-delicious combination.

Salty chocolate financier

Next up was the salty chocolate financier. Gourmet butter and Valrhona chocolate—say no more 🤣 With Andean salt sprinkled on top, it felt like the sweetness was heightened and a crispy texture was added too. Chocolate lovers would absolutely love this one.

Finally catching the butter rice cake trend 🤣 These days, butter rice cake seems to be becoming a staple. And I can see why: dipped in sweetened condensed milk, it was lightly crispy on the outside and wonderfully chewy within! It went so well with coffee.

Wine fig cream cheese financier

The wine fig cream cheese financier was delicious, with cream cheese and figs that are just at their best right now. Maybe it was just my imagination, but I thought I could catch a slight wine aroma too—nothing strong, though! 🤣

The salted caramel nuts had a lovely crunchy, crackly texture! Salted caramel's sweet-and-salty charm plus nuts meant there were so many flavors going on that I could barely keep up. Sweet, salty, and nutty—it was delicious.
