In short

Where is Dining Mihyang and when is it open?
Dining Mihyang is a Japanese omakase restaurant on the 1st floor of 8-2 Dongnam-ro 83beon-gil, Sangdang-gu, Cheongju. Hours are 11:30-21:00, with a break time from 15:00-17:00, and it's closed every other Sunday.

Dining Mihyang, in Cheongju's Dongnam district :) I just found out about this place recently so I went for lunch today with my mom haha

You can check the menu from outside too haha. There's a separate lunch special menu and a whole range of options from omakase lunch/dinner to à la carte dishes haha. I booked the lunch omakase through Naver Reservations.
What is the table setup like with a Naver reservation?
If you book through Naver Reservations at Dining Mihyang, your table is already set up when you arrive. Water, small plates, soy sauce, and a wet towel are laid out, and there's rakkyo (pickled scallion) and pickled ginger at every seat haha.

Since I had a reservation, everything was already set when I got there haha. Water, small plates, soy sauce, and a wet towel were all set up, with rakkyo and pickled ginger at every seat haha.

They also give you 2 pieces of sushi if you write a receipt review haha. I skipped it though haha.

I went for the second lunch seating haha. There's a parking lot beside the building and you can also park on the street, so parking isn't a worry haha.

They also have a wide variety of drinks haha. The people sitting next to us were drinking alcohol with their meal even though it was daytime haha. Before the course started they asked if we had any foods we couldn't eat or allergies, and I said no. Salmon came out so much I kind of wish I'd mentioned I can't eat it..lol
How does the lunch omakase course at Dining Mihyang come out?
Dining Mihyang's lunch omakase starts with salad. The salad comes out shared between two people, and it was dressed with yuzu sauce haha.

Salad came out first haha. It's shared for two people haha. It came with yuzu dressing haha.

I portioned some onto my small plate haha. Nice to eat before the meal proper haha.

They also gave us wasabi and radish sprouts. Dip the sprouts in the soy sauce and wasabi, that's the move lol.

The appetizer was salmon, kiwi, banana, tomato 🥝🍌🍅 — a combination I'd never seen, honestly kind of shocking lol. I can't eat salmon so I passed it over to my mom 〰️
Next was a slice of flounder haha.
Next came rockfish and red seabream haha. I ate mom's red seabream too >_<

Next up was octopus & cucumber. They told us to eat the octopus together with the cucumber haha.

Next was a salmon roll..lol. There's radish sprouts stuffed inside the salmon haha. Seems like they're good at making creative dishes with what they've got haha. Couldn't eat the salmon so I passed it to mom again 〰️

Next was a clear broth soup.. haha
Next, 3 pieces of tuna..haha. Probably not bluefin, looked more like swordfish haha.

Grilled Chilean sea bass and three kinds of sushi
Midway through the course at Dining Mihyang comes grilled Chilean sea bass. It was soft and delicious haha. Seems like they keep the sauce consistent with yuzu sauce haha. They told me to dip it in the yuzu sauce haha, but I liked it plain better so I just ate it as is haha.

Next came 3 kinds of sushi..haha. Salmon and red seabream again, plus vinegared shrimp..haha. Just 3 pieces of sushi total haha. Right as we were finishing, they told us the soba and tempura were coming next lol haha.

Buckwheat soba, tempura and omija tea to finish
Dining Mihyang's course wraps up with buckwheat soba, tempura, and omija (schisandra berry) tea. They told us to add wasabi to the soba haha. I dumped in all the leftover wasabi and ate it spicy haha.

Next was tempura. Shrimp, perilla leaf, onion, enoki mushroom, and sweet pumpkin, one of each per person haha. Tempura was my favorite haha. My mom said the same, it was her favorite too 😆

Last was the omija tea haha.

Lunch special or omakase: what is the difference?
Dining Mihyang's lunch special is salad + sushi + buckwheat soba + tempura, and it's ₩20,000 cheaper than the omakase haha. There was a business card up front so I'll attach that too haha. Since the menu compositions looked similar, I asked whether we'd had the omakase or the lunch special, and it turned out we'd had the omakase haha.. Dining Mihyang, in Cheongju's Dongnam district :)
- Parking available (lot beside the building + street parking)
