I went to Beorn Hair Cheongdam on the 2nd floor of 710 Seolleung-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Beorn Hair is personally a salon I trust, so it's the Gangnam-gu Office Station hair salon I keep going back to for treatments.

It's just a 1-minute walk from Gangnam-gu Office Station Exit 3-1 or the Gangnam-gu Office bus stop, so it's easy to reach by public transit, and if you're driving, valet parking is available too, so bringing a car isn't a hassle either. Beorn Hair Cheongdam's interior felt clean and uncluttered, and with an outlet at every seat, it was great for charging up or working on a laptop or watching videos during longer treatments. One wall had books you could read, and honestly quite a few people were reading while getting their treatments.

I got my scalp care from a very kind deputy director. As soon as the treatment started, they brought out drinks and snacks so I could enjoy them comfortably while getting worked on ෆ ෆ ෆ

My scalp tends to be red and runs hot, so at Beorn Hair Cheongdam I went with the care that lowers scalp heat and calms things down. First, steam softened the scalp thoroughly, then came the scaling — I could feel them working carefully through every section of scalp.

The blood-flow massage that works down into the trapezius

After the scaling, I got a blood-flow massage to help circulation up to the scalp. They worked not just the scalp but the back, shoulders, trapezius, and neck too, and their hands were strong — it genuinely felt amazing.

Do hairstylists these days have to be good at massage too?! Haha, they were so good at it I thought I was getting a massage from an actual masseuse, and all my fatigue melted away — it was so good!

Shampoo, protein care, and the water punch rinse

Next came a shampoo to wash away the softened dead skin and sebum. During the shampoo they did some really satisfying acupressure and washed every corner of my scalp thoroughly — they really took care of it.

They also did protein care on the hair ends, and I got a water punch treatment at whatever pressure I wanted.

Calming moisture pack, microcurrent, and a second hand massage

Next, they applied a calming moisture pack to soothe open pores and balance moisture and oil on the scalp. After applying it, they used microcurrent to work on the scalp, then did another round of hand massage.

They explained that circulation matters for the scalp too, so the tight areas around it need to be worked loose, and they thoroughly loosened everything from the scalp to the neck, trapezius, arms, and even the front chest muscles. (They're genuinely great at massage too!!! bb)

Ampoule care to finish, in a private room massage chair

Finally, I got about 10 minutes of mist, then moved to a private room, lay back comfortably in a massage chair, and finished with an ampoule care aimed at strengthening hair roots and preventing hair loss. They finished with a cooling scalp-calming pack to bring down the heat, and while rinsing, they even cleansed the neck area where I'd gotten the aroma massage earlier — it really felt like they took care of everything down to the smallest detail.

To finish, they blow-dried my hair beautifully to match my layered cut. After the scalp care, my scalp felt truly refreshed and cool. Especially at the end, that distinctive tingling, cool menthol sensation was added, and it felt like all the heat in my scalp completely disappeared — so satisfying and lovely!

I'd actually had Beorn Hair Cheongdam saved for a while because their perm style photos are so pretty, and since the scalp care was this satisfying too, I'm planning to go back soon for a perm!
