A few days ago I went and got lash extensions at Moodmoa Lash & Brow, a lash extension specialist in Dongtan. How do they look?!?!

Moodmoa Lash & Brow is a lash extension studio located in Bansong-dong, Dongtan. There's room for a car or two right in front of the shop, but the spaces are tight, so it was easier to just park in the public lot.

It's barely a minute's walk from the public parking lot, and in Dongtan public parking is free for up to 90 minutes! Dongtan's parking perks are seriously so good!

Inside the studio and the design consultation booklet

The moment I walked in, the cute, carefully decorated interior caught my eye. The shop isn't huge, but I actually loved the cozy, one-on-one feel of a one-woman studio. It's a clean, snug space done in white tones with wood furniture, giving off a comfortable vibe almost like a pretty café.

I arrived a bit early for my appointment and sat waiting at the consultation table, where I found a booklet explaining lash extensions in Dongtan — which products they use, what kind of design they aim for. I really appreciated that, because honestly, a lot of the time when you go get lashes done in Dongtan, you just end up leaving everything to the stylist without knowing what style you're even getting.

I was flipping through the booklet mentally deciding which style I wanted, haha!

It'd been almost a month since my last lash extensions, so I only had one or two lashes left. My eyes are longer and bigger than average, but my lashes are shorter than average, so my lashes end up looking even, even, even shorter. T_T

The director greeted me with a bright smile, and in the consultation room she carefully went over the features of my eye shape — my usual concerns about protruding eyes and thin lashes — and suggested a custom design. Rather than just pushing whatever style is trending, she really searched for the curl and length that would suit my face shape and eye shape, and I could feel her deep expertise in that.

And unlike other shops that always go heavy on the design, her taste actually matched mine. She seemed to do a lot more natural designs, which put me at ease a little.

The treatment step by step, from deep cleansing to extensions

Once the actual treatment started, the director's meticulous touch made time fly. The bed was so comfortable during the extensions, with even a footrest, so my whole posture was relaxed and I got sleepy pretty fast.

I felt zero eye stinging or foreign-body sensation, so it was basically a totally comfortable, deep-sleep kind of experience, haha. She also did a deep lash cleanse first — cleansing with foam and wiping everything down to clear out any buildup that might have accumulated on my lashes — before starting the actual procedure.

How did the finished classic C-curl lashes look?

It was a little over an hour before the extensions were done, and after my little nap I woke up with eyes where there'd basically been none before. My usually sparse lashes were filled in without going overboard, and my eyes ended up with a soft, deep look.

In particular, that heavy, in-your-face feeling that comes with protruding eyes was completely toned down, and even in profile or with my eyes closed, the curling looked light and elegant without screaming 'extensions.' Success!

She even gifted me a lash brush to take home, telling me to keep taking good care of my lashes.
