With work being so busy, I'd often head to the office after washing my hair without properly drying my scalp or hair, and with frequent perms on top of that, my hair got frizzier and frizzier until I could physically feel how damaged it had become. I tried to manage it at home, but I got lazier and lazier, and no matter how much I combed it, it just kept tangling more, so I finally went to Beorn Hair Cheongdam, a place known for hair clinics in Gangnam.

The moment I stepped inside Beorn Hair Cheongdam, I felt how upscale and clean the interior was — exactly the kind of polish you'd expect from a Cheongdam-dong salon. I'd made a reservation, and a friendly staff member showed me in right away!

The treatment I was getting at Beorn Hair Cheongdam was called the 'inner clinic' — the stylist examined my hair carefully and laid out, in an easy-to-follow way, exactly how nutrients would be supplied to my hair, which made me trust the process even more! Before starting, she thoroughly explained how the clinic's nutrients would reach my hair and what order the steps would go in. Explained so clearly it just clicked haha😆

Step 1: detox shampoo and keratin penetration

Off to the shampoo room to get some nutrition into my hair ASAP~~ First, a detox shampoo was used to thoroughly clear buildup off the hair's surface so that the care products could absorb properly. It also uses keratin protein to make hair softer and stronger.

After the shampoo cleared all the buildup off the surface so care products could sink in properly, high-molecular keratin protein was applied to penetrate into my damaged hair.

Step 2: heating cap, nano steam, and CMC replenishment

With the protein now applied, the heating cap step began, driving the keratin protein deep into the hair. The back of my head got warm and toasty and I couldn't help but doze off a bit~~

Next came moisture replenishment for the hair, filling in the dry interior and building a solid base, followed by nano steam to open the cuticles for faster absorption and longer-lasting care, and CMC replenishment to strengthen the cuticle bonds. She kept checking in along the way to make sure I was comfortable, which made the whole clinic feel that much easier to sit through.

How the hair felt after the inner clinic: shiny and tangle-free

Even in photos taken right after the treatment with my hair still a bit damp, the shine was unmistakable and my hair looked like it had real body! In particular, the back of my hair used to tangle constantly whenever I ran my fingers through it, making it so hard to manage — but now it felt soft and smooth with zero snagging, which was so satisfying!
