A dessert café is a must for round two when friends get together, and this one delivered — big time! As someone who's obsessed with baked goods and cake, let me introduce Something About Coffee, one of the best dessert cafés in Gangnam~

Where is Something About Coffee, and what are its hours?

Something About Coffee occupies the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors at 30 Gangnam-daero102-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. It's open daily 11:00–22:30, with dine-in until 10pm, and there's no parking.

This Gangnam café near Sinnonhyeon Station sits between Gangnam Station and Sinnonhyeon Station, closest to Exit 6 of Sinnonhyeon Station. You can dine in until 10pm, and takeout is available until 10:30pm!

I didn't just wander in — I searched for the best dessert spots in Gangnam and picked the closest one lol. Seeing photos packed with cakes and baked goods, I rushed right over. The all-white exterior is so clean-looking.

The 1st floor interior is so clean! This Gangnam café near Sinnonhyeon Station is a pretty large three-story spot. Head up to the 2nd floor and you'll find tons of desserts, and that's also where you pay. When it's crowded, I think you should grab a seat first before paying haha.

The moving sight that greets you the moment you step up to the 2nd floor. The interior is insane, and the desserts are even more insane. Honestly I wanted to buy everything. But quite a few items were sold out, so if you want to catch everything on the menu, you should go early haha. I visited on a weekday around 7pm.

From baked goods like financiers, scones, and madeleines to cakes and sando (fruit sandwiches), all the good desserts are gathered here ㅠ.ㅠ How do you even choose?!!!! But I had to pull myself together and pick something.

...isn't black sesame fig just insane. I really love figs. I can't resist a black sesame + fig combo. My friend bought the sando for me, so I took it home to eat haha.

What the outdoor terrace at Something About Coffee is like in the evening

We sat on the outdoor terrace! The weather had cooled down, so it was great sitting outside. The interior is so pretty too ㅠ.ㅠ cute and cozy vibes.

Matcha cream cold brew, 7,500 won

The moment I tried it, I declared this place a matcha destination. The bitterness and sweetness of the matcha were perfect,, I don't usually drink coffee much, but gulping down the matcha cream with the nutty cold brew together was so good. If you like matcha or nutty coffee with no acidity, this menu will absolutely satisfy you ><

Black sesame fig cheesecake, 9,800 won

The one I was most looking forward to, the black sesame fig cheesecake,, first of all it's so pretty. There's a gorgeous-looking fig on top, and the cake is packed with fresh figs inside too ㅠ.ㅠ The black sesame cream is so soft and nutty.. and on top of that there's the heavy, dense cheesecake at the bottom. How did they make this?! How did they even come up with this idea ㅡ.ㅡ Thank you so much.

I'm definitely coming back to buy this again next time I'm in Gangnam.

Lemon pound cake, 6,800 won

The lemon pound cake was so refreshing too><. Of all pound cakes, lemon is my favorite.

Nom nom. If you visit this Gangnam café near Sinnonhyeon Station, I definitely recommend trying the black sesame fig cheesecake and the matcha cream.

Fig sando taken home, 8,500 won

And I also tried the fig sando my friend bought me lol, it's genuinely delicious. The fig was totally fresh,,, the cream was heavenly. Something About Coffee seems to be really good at cream in general. Definitely try their cream-based desserts.
