I took my girlfriend to Beorn Hair Cheongdam (비오른헤어 청담점), a hair salon in Cheongdam-dong, for her very first premium hair clinic. She'd been worrying that her hair had gone dry and lost all its strength lately, so I booked a hair clinic and we went together. (Here comes my girlfriend's first hair clinic review!!!)

The thing everyone wants to see is the before and after, and this clinic really delivered. The strength, softness and shine that came back into her hair, plus how neat it looked overall, left us both very satisfied.

Beorn Hair Cheongdam is located at 2F, 710 Seolleung-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul (also known as Cheongdam-dong 40-29, Gangnam-gu, Seoul).

Walk about 100m from Exit 4 of Gangnam-gu Office Station and you'll reach Beorn Hair. (A great salon to visit by public transport.)

Hours are Monday to Sunday, 09:30–20:00, with regular closures every Tuesday. They'll also be closed on September 25 for Chuseok.

I'd recommend booking Beorn Hair Cheongdam through Naver Reservations, and calling the salon directly if that doesn't work. (My girlfriend went with Head Manager Hanna~)

Apparently Director Donghwa is off only on Chuseok day itself and takes bookings every other day, haha.

Inside Beorn Hair Cheongdam: the shampoo room and head spa room

Inside, Beorn Hair Cheongdam has that sleek, put-together Cheongdam-dong feel — the interior is clean and bright throughout.

The salon is spacious enough for plenty of guests to get treatments at once, and the waiting area is roomy, clean and pleasant. (Exactly the kind of interior that makes you want to come get your hair done~)

There are separate rooms for shampooing and head spa treatments, so you can get either comfortably, haha. (You can relax and get a head spa with total peace of mind.)

How the premium hair clinic works, step by step

Before starting the premium hair clinic, my girlfriend had a consultation with Head Manager Hanna about her hair and scalp, talking through what treatment would suit her and what she was concerned about, before deciding on the care plan~~~

The explanation was thorough and felt genuine, and it was easy for my girlfriend to follow, so she went into her first hair clinic without any worries.

First, in the shampoo room, they wash out buildup and heavy metals from the hair with a dedicated shampoo so the care products that follow can absorb properly.

Next comes the step where high-polymer keratin protein is worked into the hair, combed through evenly so it absorbs all the way through.

You can see the protein soaking generously into my girlfriend's hair.

Ripping and heat-treatment tools are used to drive the protein deep into the hair.

After that comes 20 minutes of nano steam, which opens the hair's cuticle to boost absorption — think of it as the final step of the hair care.

Then it's over to the spa room for another round of protein care, a hair wash, and a scalp massage that melts away any leftover fatigue, haha.

Her hair felt so much stronger and softer, with real strength and shine, boosted up. (My girlfriend was so satisfied, which made it even better.)
