Gangnam wedding hall with parents' hair salon and mood lighting: Arbe

In short

Arbe is a standalone-hall house wedding venue at 302 Bongeunsa-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, a 354m walk from Exit 4 of Seonjeongneung Station. A tour of Arbe covered the first-floor lobby with a welcome drink booth, a downstairs locker room and hair salon for the couple's parents, a fresh-flower photo table and bridal waiting room, lighting that shifts from bright to dim, and a banquet buffet directly in front of the hall. With 2-hour gaps between ceremonies and only one hall in use, a wedding at Arbe looked unhurried even with a big guest list.

Did you know house weddings are possible right in the middle of Gangnam, Seoul? This is Arbe — a pretty Seoul wedding hall, a Gangnam wedding hall, and a Seoul house wedding venue.

The moment you walk in, the space is filled with the scent of fresh flowers — one of the few standalone-hall house weddings in Seoul. With the relaxed 2-hour scheduling gap, it seemed like a place where you could have a lavish yet comfortable wedding.

Getting to Arbe and parking

Arbe has double subway access via Eonju Station and Seonjeongneung Station, so it's convenient for guests coming by public transport too. Parking fits up to 250 vehicles between indoor and outdoor lots, which seemed like plenty of space.

Parking staff at the building entrance were guiding guests who arrived by car to the parking area.

First-floor lobby and gift money booth

Walk in through Arbe's main entrance on the first floor and you'll find a welcome drink booth and a resting area, so there's a spot to sit for a moment. There's also an ATM to the left of the main entrance.

Parents' locker room and hair salon at Arbe

To the left of the gift booth at Arbe, there's a staircase leading downstairs. A locker room and hair salon are set up there, mainly used by the parents of the couple for makeup and hairstyling, and they can leave their belongings and change clothes in the lockers right next door.

I thought it must be nice for the parents to get ready right there and walk straight into the ceremony hall... haha.

Arbe's photo table is also carefully decorated with fresh flowers. The bridal waiting room is spacious, and there's a bridal-shower-themed photo zone out front where visiting guests can take pictures and say hello.

How does the lighting change during the ceremony?

Arbe is a standalone hall known for its lush floral decorations and tall lighting fixtures, and the lighting can be set bright or dim. Bright lighting suits a house wedding concept well, while dim lighting works well for a hotel wedding concept.

What is the banquet hall and buffet like?

At Arbe, the banquet hall sits right in front of the wedding hall, which seemed convenient for guests. The space is roomy enough to comfortably handle a large number of guests, with separate rooms further inside... and a separate family room too.

Food-wise, there's a conveyor sushi corner, and dishes are well organized into cold food/hot food, Chinese/Western/Korean/porridge/noodle sections and more.

Desserts and fruit are also laid out.

With so many warm soup dishes and Korean dishes on offer, I thought there was plenty here that older guests would enjoy.

Is Arbe worth booking? Final take

Good transit access, attentive staff service, a beautiful wedding hall, and a well-arranged banquet hall — Arbe, a Gangnam wedding hall, seems like a venue where you'd be very happy holding your wedding. Recommended.
