Where is Arbe, and where do guests park?

Arbe Wedding Hall is a house wedding venue at 302 Bongeunsa-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, close to Gangnam-gu Office Station. The parking lot is well set up, so guests driving in shouldn't stress too much about parking. But there's not much anyone can do about how congested the roads get around Gangnam — that stretch is jammed on weekdays and weekends alike, so if you're attending a wedding here, I'd recommend checking the time carefully and arriving early.

Luckily we came right after a ceremony had ended, so we got to look around the hall while it was empty.

The flowers were gorgeous and the colors were pretty too. The interior space was bigger than I expected. It seemed like it could easily pull off that Seoul house-wedding vibe.

This is the view when you walk in — the space and atmosphere were much nicer than I expected from the outside. If you're not looking for a huge guest list and want that Seoul house-wedding feel, Arbe could be a solid choice.

There's also a photo guestbook set up near the entrance, which seemed like a fun spot for guests.

From the 1st-floor photo wall down to the banquet hall

When you enter through the 1st-floor entrance at Arbe, there's a photo wall, a gift table, and a photo guestbook upstairs, where you greet the groom's side. The wedding hall and banquet hall are one floor down. You can take the stairs, or there's an elevator across from the Twosome Place on the opposite side — whichever's easier.

The bride waiting to walk in — haha, you could see she was nervous, and it made me a little nervous too just watching. In front of her was a photo table decorated with really lush flowers that caught my eye.

Arbe's buffet, nicknamed 'Bab-Arbe': how far apart are the seats?

Arbe is known well enough for its buffet that people call it 'Bab-Arbe' (rice-Arbe). Since there were guests around, I didn't take too many photos of the seating area, but the tables weren't crammed together — there was plenty of space, which was nice so you don't feel awkwardly close to the next table.

I especially liked the meat dishes, but personally, the yukhoe (raw beef) was the top pick, haha. It came loaded with octopus tangtangi (chopped raw octopus) and pear, so much that I went back for seconds and thirds (subject: Binunu). And what I really liked was that the food never ran out — the second something emptied, it was refilled in the blink of an eye. There were tons of staff, and they had eagle eyes for spotting any empty tray and restocking it almost instantly.

There were plenty of drinks and alcohol too — so good! I thought about having a glass of wine but had plans afterward, so I passed on that.

What went on the first plate: the yukhoe won

My first plate, full of pure desire. Like I said, the yukhoe was truly the best. It's been a while since I had raw beef this fresh and delicious.

This was my second plate, which was also my last plate — my stomach's capacity is small, and I felt so wronged by that. I wanted to eat five plates too, but there just wasn't room left in my stomach, ugh. My partner who came with me ate three plates on my behalf, though, so I got some vicarious satisfaction.

A Gangnam wedding hall that serves gelato in the banquet room

Gotta cleanse the palate with gelato, right? Honestly, this was my first time seeing gelato in a wedding banquet hall. As someone obsessed with ice cream, I had to try every flavor to feel satisfied, so I scooped them all.

No joke, all four flavors were amazing. But since I love chocolate, the chocolate gelato was the best for me.

Good value without feeling cheap, with a romantic vibe that pulls off a Seoul house wedding — and the food is genuinely delicious, so as a guest it really doesn't get much better than this, haha.
