Free draft beer and Bupyeong-only tacos at sushi buffet KuuKuu Gold

I get such a craving for sashimi and sushi once the weather cools down >_< Now that it's getting cooler, I found myself craving the sushi I missed all summer, so I ran straight to KuuKuu! 🍣

Did you guys know KuuKuu even has a Gold line..? I only found out this time, and since it's only ₩2,000 more than the branch I usually go to, I figured I might as well go Gold while I'm at it!

I'm still a new driver so I took the subway, and it's about a 5-minute walk from Bupyeong Market Station! 🏃‍♀️ There's also parking down to basement level 3, free for 1.5 hours, so keep that in mind if you're driving~

Weekday lunch, dinner, and weekend prices

Prices are: Weekday lunch ₩27,900 Weekday dinner ₩31,900 Weekend/holiday ₩35,900 Going for the weekday lunch feels like really good value!

There are also comfy seats for waiting, so it seems like a nice spot to rest while you wait for a table! (There was no wait at all during weekday lunch haha)

The weekday noon atmosphere and kids' play area

I came around noon and there were tons of people in for lunch! Office workers on their lunch break, families out for a meal, groups — lots of people, but the place is spacious so it didn't feel crowded at all haha. There's also a big kids' play area in the back, so it seems like a great spot to bring kids too 🧒

The sushi selection and salmon

Can you see how many kinds of sushi there are.. and this isn't even all of it, there was too much to photograph lol. There are so many combinations I'd never seen before, and just so many kinds overall, that picking sushi becomes genuinely fun!

I'm a salmon fanatic, and this salmon had no fishy taste at all and was so good it could put a lot of dedicated salmon restaurants to shame

The new crab pasta

There's also a new crab pasta that KuuKuu just introduced, and this one was delicious too — I saw someone walk by with a plate piled entirely with crab pasta and had to copy them. It has a creamy crab flavor with a bit of spice, so I kept eating without ever getting sick of it~

Adorable animal-shaped steamed buns!! I'd seen them on Reels before and wanted to try them, so I was happy to find them here

Tacos found only at the Bupyeong branch

Apparently these tacos exist only at the KuuKuu Bupyeong Market branch! The taco fillings were set out looking so appetizing

Load a taco up with all the fillings and take a big bite — so good 👅 The meat was so tasty I ended up just scooping up the leftovers lol

There's plenty of food beyond just sushi and seafood~

How to get a free draft beer

Did you know you can drink one glass of beer for free at KuuKuu??

Show your ID at the register and they'll give you this wristband! Tag it here and the door opens — just grab a glass and pour it yourself. The beer isn't unlimited, but hey, one free glass with no extra charge is still great~ Perfect for anyone who likes to drink?! (Tables with minors aren't eligible, so adults only~)

The Gold branch dessert corner

Dessert heaven.. I'm the type of person who has a separate stomach for dessert, so no matter how good the meal was, I'm never satisfied if the dessert is weak. But being the Gold branch, there are more varieties and all sorts of desserts I'd never seen at a regular KuuKuu before, so anyone who loves dessert would be totally into this place. The crepe was delicious, the jelly was delicious, and the lemon apple tart was delicious too!!

Ube milk tea and strawberry fondue

KuuKuu is quick to catch on to trends, huh?! There's even boba in the ube milk tea. It genuinely tastes like the ube milk tea you'd get at a café!

No one comes to KuuKuu and skips the fondue, right..? After only ever seeing chocolate fondue here, I was so excited to see strawberry fondue. Dipping marshmallows and pretzel sticks into the fondue is my personal KuuKuu rule

Gotta start with some stew before the meal, right?! The crab cream stew was delicious too! The pizza is sweet but tasty, and the sushi speaks for itself.. 👍

Oh, and the scallop and whelk sushi too!! Looking at these photos makes me want to eat it all over again

Coming to KuuKuu means you have to get a scoop of the marble ice cream haha, and the chocolate crepe is a must every time
