Gyeongju Hwangnidang-gil restaurant: pasta on pizza at Midam Kitchen

Went looking for Western food on Hwangnidang-gil in Gyeongju and landed on Midam Kitchen ദ്ദി◍•ᴗ•◍)♡ With pasta, pizza, and pork cutlet all on the menu, it seemed like a great spot to bring the family and let everyone order their own thing haha.

Three dishes for two: what we ordered at Midam Kitchen

At Midam Kitchen, the two of us ordered three things: pork loin cutlet + Toowoomba pasta + arugula tomato pizza.

To cut to the chase, the portions were genuinely huge, but it was so good we finished everything anyway ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ We even scraped up all the sauce, ate the salad too, and refilled our pickles twice ૮ ˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶ ა

We started with the cutlet, and it genuinely tasted like the cutlet your mom fries at home ㅠㅠㅠ The cutlet itself wasn't too thick or tough, easy to eat, and best of all the sauce had such a familiar taste that I loved it. Honestly, a sauce like this beats some fancy dressed-up cutlet any day ദ്ദി(˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ ) ✧

It comes with salad too, so we kept doing bite of cutlet, bite of salad, back to cutlet, dip in sauce, over and over ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

"Don't leave a bite!" Why the owner came over to check

Here's the funny part — since the two of us showed up and ordered three whole dishes, the auntie in the kitchen came out to see us, wondering if we must be huge people with huge appetites ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

But when she saw us and how slim we were, she said, "Don't leave any food!!!" ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Honestly, hearing that just made me competitive ദ്ദി◍•ᴗ•◍)♡ We really did finish everything without leaving a bite.

But like, how could you leave this cutlet unfinished ㅠㅠㅠ I genuinely love this extra-large-sized cutlet.

Midam Kitchen's Toowoomba pasta: jumbo shrimp and cocktail shrimp together

The real star of the day was this one — the Toowoomba pasta is insane. I genuinely think this is a must-order if you come here ㅠㅠㅠㅠ

It's not just cocktail shrimp in there — there's jumbo shrimp AND cocktail shrimp both mixed in. So you get a nice satisfying bite of shrimp, and the portion was pretty generous too.

The sauce is thick and creamy and genuinely delicious — it's great even eaten on its own as a pasta.

The noodles were cooked perfectly too, and the shrimp basically tasted like fresh grilled butter shrimp from the Busan coast. Please sell this separately, boss.

Last up was the arugula tomato pizza! The first thing I noticed the moment it arrived was how loaded with toppings it was ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Seriously, there's so much piled on top that stuff tumbles off the second you try to pick up a slice ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ So you have to eat carefully ㅠㅠ

With tomato and arugula piled on top, the pizza itself wasn't too heavy, and because the toppings were so generous, each bite felt satisfyingly full in your mouth.

Who will enjoy Midam Kitchen in Gyeongju?

In the end, we finished the cutlet, scraped the pasta sauce clean, finished the pizza, ate the salad, and refilled the pickles twice ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ The auntie told us not to leave anything, and we really didn't ^_^

We wondered if three menus for two women was too much, but it was so good it all just went down ㅋㅋㅋㅋ Especially the Toowoomba pasta — if I go back, I'm definitely reordering that. The cutlet had that comforting homemade feel, and the pizza was satisfying with all those toppings.
