Walking around Hwangnidang-gil in Gyeongju, there are so many good restaurants that it's hard to decide where to eat. This time, while wandering around the street, I stopped by Midam Kitchen, where you can enjoy everything from pasta to pork cutlet in one visit.
On a Gyeongju trip, instead of eating Korean food the whole time, it's nice to find a place with Western menu options like this. Midam Kitchen has a wide variety of choices, so it seemed like a great spot to visit with a group too. The interior is clean and the food looks pretty, so I'd recommend it to anyone searching for a good date restaurant in Gyeongju.

Isn't the entrance just so pretty? 🤍 Enjoying Western food in a hanok on a clear, crisp day — the atmosphere alone was already great.
The exterior is so pretty that just walking in through the entrance put me in a good mood.

The toowoomba pasta came with plenty of sauce, perfect for coating the noodles thickly, and shrimp on top too — visual A+ 👏👏
It had that signature toowoomba savoriness with a slight kick of spice, so it never felt heavy and was easy to keep eating.
If you love cream pasta, this is a dish you'll be satisfied with for sure.
🍽️ Crispy pork loin cutlet with free rice refills
The pork loin cutlet is fried up big with plenty of sauce on top, so it already looks like a generous portion at a glance — and apparently rice refills are included!
Crispy on the outside with thick, juicy meat inside — how could this pork cutlet not be delicious!
Pasta alone might feel a bit lacking, but ordering the cutlet alongside made for a great combination.
If you're on Hwangnidang-gil looking for a filling meal rather than something light, I'd recommend this place.
🍇 Green grape ade to finish
For drinks I ordered the green grape ade, and honestly it had been a while since I had such a good ade! Sweet and refreshing green grape flavor, great to sip between bites of pasta and cutlet.
Since the food overall was on the heavier side, having one refreshing ade alongside really cleaned up the palate!

The house salad I got from the Naver reservation coupon paired really well with today's meal and tasted great.
Wait, this isn't a side salad, this is basically a main dish?! So make sure to book a reservation and get that coupon!!
