Seomun Market has so much good food that you always end up hunting for a little snack to eat while browsing around, and one of the must-eats there is the nutty, fragrant peanut bread 🥜 While wandering Seomun Market wondering what to grab, I settled on Daesin Peanut Bread 〰️〰️

Daesin Peanut Bread is always my go-to whenever I'm craving peanut bread! There are lots of places selling peanut bread inside Seomun Market, but this one is the tastiest, I think? ✨🫢

Daesin Peanut Bread menu and prices
The shop's main snack, peanut bread, comes in bags of 20 for 3,000 won, 45 for 6,000 won, or 80 for 10,000 won. One bag disappears in no time while you're browsing the market. I'm always torn between buying 20 or 45.
As the name suggests, this place mainly sells peanut bread, and since I always just order the peanut bread, I didn't realize the menu was actually this varied. Besides peanut bread, they also sell egg bread, roasted peanuts, peanut jam, and drinks like peanut latte.

Egg bread is 2,000 won for 1, 5,500 won for 3, and 12,000 won for 7. Buying multiples of both peanut bread and egg bread is definitely the better deal ~!

Roasted peanuts are 10,000 won for 1 doe (a traditional Korean grain measure) or 5,000 won for half a doe.

The peanut latte looks like it'll be cool and nutty through and through 🥜🍂🥤 Even the color looks legit. Peanuts are nutty, sweet, and good for you, so these are the kind of snacks anyone, young or old, can enjoy without guilt.

Four or five peanuts per mold: how the peanut bread is baked
At Daesin Peanut Bread, each slot of the mold seems packed with peanuts—about 4 to 5 per slot. Just crammed full of peanuts. Once you've had this place, you really can't go back to other peanut bread. Other peanut bread has... the issue of having basically no peanuts at all.

Pour the batter into the mold and bake—done! They keep the batches coming out nonstop, so you can always get it piping hot.

Can you order a peanut latte at Daesin Peanut Bread?
The peanut latte gets poured all the way to the top of the cup? I didn't see it here last time—maybe it's a new menu item ~~ 🫢🥜 When just snacks aren't quite enough, there's a drink menu too, so you can order that alongside. Walking around the market can make you surprisingly thirsty, so it was even better being able to get a cold drink along with the snacks.

Even Himbap (a well-known Korean food creator) has stopped by here? Officially a certified good spot 〰️〰️🫢

What does freshly baked peanut bread taste like?
Fresh off the griddle, Daesin Peanut Bread's peanut bread is slightly crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, with that distinctive nutty peanut flavor coming through. Watching the golden-brown peanut bread slide right off the mold gives an oddly satisfying rush? I bought both peanut bread and egg bread! Gotta get some protein in too 🥚

They're bite-sized and easy to eat, so you can snack on them while browsing the market and again once you get home.

Sweet with a nutty edge, it's an easy, guilt-free snack. It's especially best eaten warm, so I'd recommend digging in right away as soon as it comes out! That said, it's tasty no matter when you eat it.

Eating peanut bread and egg bread together
The egg bread is wonderfully fluffy. Pairing the sweet peanut bread with the plain, savory egg bread means the flavors don't overlap, which is great when you want to enjoy a few different snacks. If you're visiting with a group, it might be nice to order both peanut bread and egg bread separately and share ~!

Who will enjoy Daesin Peanut Bread
This spot is great not just for peanut bread lovers but for anyone visiting Seomun Market and looking for a quick snack or dessert! If you're like me and enjoy sampling a little bit of everything while browsing the market, I'd recommend mixing and matching peanut bread, egg bread, and drinks to your taste :) If you're planning a trip to Seomun Market, be sure to pick up some warm peanut bread as your snack 🥜🤎
