Daegu Korean BBQ with free parking: Suyeong Naengsam

Only five days until my due date 👶 I was craving naengsam (frozen pork belly), one of the foods on my pre-birth wish list, so my husband and I went to Suyeong Naengsam in Dongseong-ro today~ They receive their pork from Busan Seochogalbi, a place lots of celebrities visit, so you can have that flavor in Daegu too! I’ll tell you all about this dinner that was even more delicious than expected ><💕 We’re so happy after such a yummy dinner~ haha

Frozen pork belly 3 minutes from Jungangno Station, with free parking

It’s a 3-minute walk from Exit 1 of Jungangno Station. I recommend it to anyone looking for frozen pork belly around Dongseong-ro or Gyodong. It’s open 16:00–24:00 Monday through Thursday and 16:00–01:00 Friday through Saturday, and is regularly closed on the second and fourth Sunday each month. There’s free parking for about five cars directly across from the restaurant, which is so convenient in Dongseong-ro. Private group bookings are also possible for at least 50 people, so it works for company dinners too.

They say you can get a drink coupon by saving the place before visiting, or a meat or seafood-loaded doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) coupon with a reservation visit. For a receipt review, you get 100 g of pork neck if you upload two photos and write two lines of review!

Make sure the self-bar potatoes get crispy

There’s a self-service bar inside, where you can freely take fresh vegetables, ssam (wrap greens), kimchi, garlic, onion, mushrooms, rice cakes, and even thinly sliced potatoes. Just don’t leave any behind, haha. Be sure to grab the special sauce made for the pork jowl cheek too!

Especially these thin potatoes... please try them!!!! ✨✨ Grill them nice and crisp on the griddle and they’re crunchy like chips, such a treat that you just keep eating 🤤 Seriously, the potatoes are a must!! haha

Quick-frozen sliced pork that melts away

🥓 Quick-frozen sliced pork ₩7,900. They say it is 1–1.5 mm thin-sliced pork made with grade 1+ domestic female pork under six months old, aged for three days and quick-frozen for two days. Can thin-sliced pork really be this tender?? It just melts away, haha. It’s seriously so delicious...!! It was delicious with jaeraegi (seasoned scallion salad), and wrapped with grilled kimchi, vegetables, or bibim noodles.... This is basically prenatal food vlogging, haha 👍👍🤣

Chewy pork jowl cheek and special sauce

🥓 Chewy pork jowl cheek ₩7,900. A chewy, clean flavor you can’t forget once you try it! It’s a little thicker than the thin-sliced pork, but chewy? Yet tender... honestly, it’s just soooo delicious..... 💕 Try dipping it in the special pork jowl cheek sauce too, haha. It was so good that I can’t even remember how I ate it, haha. We ordered three servings and were really full!

The potatoes and mushrooms at the self-service bar... especially grill those thin potatoes nice and crispy. You can keep eating them forever, haha. So insanely good haha💕💕

The pork doenjang jjigae and bibim guksu combination

🍲 Pork doenjang jjigae ₩5,000. They say it has that old-school doenjang jjigae flavor, made with their own boiled soybean-paste broth. It comes loaded with chewy meat, vegetables, and tofu, so it’s fantastic~ Eating it with rice, pork belly, pork cheek, and doenjang was heavenly ^^ The stew was so good that now I want to try their kimchi jjigae too~ haha. It was so delicious with the meat and rice, and also so good alongside the final fried rice ㅠㅠㅠ Such a happy dinner~💕

🍲 Bibim guksu ₩3,500. This is bibim guksu with an appealing homemade sweet-and-salty sauce. Bibim guksu wrapped with meat is the perfect pairing!! The portion is huge too—can ₩3,500 even be real??? But it isn’t overly intense; it’s just balanced and really delicious!! haha. Now I understand why other reviews strongly recommend it. I’m strongly recommending it too, hahaha!!! 👍

Pilaf-style fried rice that fits even when you’re full

🍳 Suyeong fried rice, 1 serving ₩2,000. This is pilaf-style fried rice that the kitchen cooks up fresh when you order, haha. They prepare it so you can eat it as soon as it arrives~~ My husband suddenly piled on perilla leaves and garlic, haha, and he’s expressing his joy at how delicious it is?? hahaha. It’s such a treat that keeps going down even when you’re full, haha.

🥤 Finishing with a cold cider, haha. ₩2,000. It’s the kind of flavor that makes you want alcohol, but I’ll hold out with cider, haha.

From well-priced, high-quality 1++ female-pork thin slices and pork jowl cheek to every side dish, everything was genuinely delicious, so I really recommend it if you want a value-for-money dinner at a Gyodong frozen-pork spot >< hahaha.
