I found Buja Hodu while wandering around Hwangnidan-gil in Gyeongju, and the sign saying "100% rice dough" caught my eye.

There was also a big sign out front saying "Get your holiday gifts at Buja Hodu," which seems like a good spot for anyone looking for gifts or souvenirs while traveling in Gyeongju.

How many walnut pastry flavors does Buja Hodu make?

Buja Hodu's walnut pastries come in four flavors: low-sugar red bean / pea cream cheese / matcha / almond praline!!

Unlike typical walnut pastries, being able to pick from several flavors really appealed to me~! Since there are unusual flavors like cream cheese or matcha, it seems easy to pick based on your taste🤍

The owner gave me one to try, and when I cut it in half, the filling inside was packed in pretty generously. The outside was nutty and a little crispy, while the inside had a distinct personality depending on the flavor, so it was fun picking through them one by one.

• Pea cream cheese: soft cream cheese paired with pea filling, a bit more like a dessert
• Matcha: has a subtle matcha flavor, so even people who don't like very sweet desserts would probably like it

What I bought was the 24-piece mix☺️ Price: ₩27,000! It's made up of 6 red bean, 6 pea cream cheese, 6 matcha, and 6 almond praline — 24 in total~!

Rather than filling the whole box with one flavor, I liked the mix better since I could try a bit of everything!♥️

When I opened the box, each walnut pastry was sitting in its own compartment.

They're individually wrapped so they're easy to grab and eat, and there seemed less risk of them getting crushed inside the box haha.
