I was out with my mom and dad around Goyang and we were looking for somewhere to grab a coffee, so we ended up at Baedagol Bakery House!! I found it while searching for Goyang cafés, but when we arrived, the garden out front was so nicely done up that the vibe was way better than I expected, haha.

It's a bakery café with all kinds of bread, and the parking lot is big enough that it was easy to drive there with my parents. It also looked like a comfortable spot for families with kids to take their time.

Baedagol Bakery House in three lines

  • Baedagol Bakery House, a Goyang café, has a spacious parking lot and a pretty garden, so it was comfortable to visit with parents.
  • There was a wide variety of bakery items, and they're currently running a seasonal menu using fresh melon.
  • We ordered the fresh melon snow ice and a café latte, which were refreshing to eat while also enjoying the garden.

What is the garden at Baedagol Bakery House like?

Baedagol Bakery House is a bakery café on Hoguk-ro1121beon-gil in Deogyang-gu, Goyang, Gyeonggi. I found it while looking for a café near where I was hanging out with my mom and dad! My mom mentioned she'd been to Baedagol Bakery Foret a lot more often, so we came to Baedagol Bakery House, the original branch.

It's not just a building sitting there — the surrounding garden and flowers are all styled together, so it kind of felt like visiting a little countryside house abroad, haha. It was nice to browse the bakery and slowly walk around taking photos outside.

What bread and cakes does Baedagol Bakery House sell?

True to its name, Baedagol Bakery House is a bakery with a wide range of breads on display. It's described as selling healthy, tasty bread along with desserts and drinks made with seasonal fruit, and using specialty beans in the coffee. You can come just to buy one bread, or stay a while with a drink and a dessert together — either way works well here.

Fresh melon snow ice, 25,000 won

Right now, the seasonal menu at this Goyang café features items made with fresh melon, so we ordered the fresh melon snow ice for 25,000 won.

Ta-da~~~ melon bingsu (shaved ice dessert)!!

Just as the name says, it's a snow ice topped with melon, so it was great for the three of us to share. On a hot day, bingsu is always the first thing I reach for, haha. Eating the soft snow ice together with fresh melon was cool and refreshing, with the fruit's sweetness giving it a different dessert feel from the bakery bread.

Since seasonal fruit menus can change depending on when you visit, if you're going specifically for the fresh melon dish, it's best to check beforehand whether it's currently available.

The condensed milk has melon syrup mixed into it too.

Café latte, 6,500 won

The café latte was 6,500 won. It wasn't an especially bold or strong flavor, but it was easy to drink alongside dessert, and the coffee flavor itself was decent. When you're chatting with your parents for a long time at a Goyang café, this kind of easygoing latte feels the most comfortable.

I think picking out an extra bread from the bakery to eat with the latte would work well too. There were so many kinds of bread that next time I want to try a few bakery items instead of bingsu.

Is Baedagol Bakery House worth a visit with parents?

Baedagol Bakery House is a Goyang café with plenty of free parking and a garden, making it comfortable to visit as a family by car. They sell a variety of bakery items along with seasonal fruit desserts, and the fresh melon snow ice we had was a good size to share with my parents.

The café latte was solidly enjoyable too, but most of all, the pretty garden atmosphere is what stuck with me. Next time I'd like to pick out a few kinds of bread and go more bakery-focused, haha.
