Is Andamiro Pancake Cheonan worth a visit?

This café in Sinbu-dong, Cheonan has an older feel to it, but it's a dessert café known for its standout soufflé. Both the visuals and the taste were great — a good Cheonan café.

Where is Andamiro Pancake, and where do you park?

Andamiro Pancake is on the 2nd floor of the building, so it can be a bit hard to find — it's above a men's clothing store, just so you know. There's no dedicated lot for the building, so you'll need to use a separate parking area, but if you park at Sinbu Public Parking Lot, they'll give you a validated ticket!

It's a bit cheaper than other lots nearby. About ₩1,000 an hour, while lots nearby start at ₩2,500. Sinbu Public Parking Lot is cheaper and gives you a validated ticket too, so park there and get your ticket.

I love pancakes, so there was no way I wasn't trying this. Other regular dessert breads are great too, but I love a place that nails the soufflé!

It's especially hard to find. Maybe it takes real skill, because at bad places the soufflé isn't fluffy and comes out a bit dry, so you really have to find the right spot.

Andamiro Pancake's soufflés include the Andamiro soufflé, plain soufflé, matcha soufflé, crème brûlée soufflé, and lemon soufflé, with a strawberry soufflé as a winter seasonal item. There's also croffle, so order whichever dessert you like.

They also had two sorbets I'd never seen before — persimmon sorbet and kiwi sorbet — so after some thought I ordered the kiwi sorbet.

What the café interior is like

The interior is so clean and tidy, which I love. The unfinished-looking, trendy-on-social-media interior style isn't really my thing anyway.

I love a clean, simple interior.

Since soufflés take at least 15 minutes to make by nature, the time flies by taking photos, checking your phone, and doing this and that while you wait. There's no buzzer — they just bring it to your table. Seems like a one-person-run café, and the service is kind and lovely.

Floor-to-ceiling window seats, the best spot for photos

With these floor-to-ceiling windows, photos come out really well. If you're visiting as a Cheonan date spot, come ready to take pictures of your girlfriend lol lol lol. The clean white chairs and the windows are a bit backlit, but they're perfect for shots from behind.

Matcha einspänner and kiwi sorbet

First out were the matcha einspänner and kiwi sorbet. I was feeling a bit heavy so I ordered the sorbet for something refreshing — it's gold kiwi sorbet, so not quite the sorbet flavor I had in mind, but it's tasty.

What's the difference between sherbet and sorbet again...? Anyway it has more body than a slush but is denser than a sherbet, I guess you could say. Either way, the kind of flavor you keep going back for.

It was backlit, so I turned toward the sunlight and the photo came out sharp and gorgeous. A real dessert-visuals café.

The Andamiro soufflé with four seasonal fruits

The Andamiro soufflé right now comes topped with seasonal fruit — shine muscat grapes, gold kiwi, cherries, and banana — and they were all fresh and delicious! Genuinely tasty fruit, and fresh, which I loved. None of it was wilted, all delicious. Not a single fruit to skip.

Looking at it now, it's a yellow and green combo. I think I ended up ordering things that looked colorful and refreshing, and the tones just matched.

The soufflé was a little different from what I knew soufflé to be — it kind of crumbles apart? You don't even need a knife to cut it, so at first when it crumbled and melted in my mouth I was like, huh? But as I kept eating, it was soft and delicious.

Saying I was full, saying it was so soft, I finished it all! Two pancake pieces weren't enough!! I feel like I could've eaten more.

While walking around to digest, we went into a claw machine arcade lol lol lol lol. Grabbed a raincoat-wearing Jjanggu doll in one shot.
