Hi everyone~ it's Donaseu! I've been craving Western-style pork cutlets nonstop lately so I finally gave in and went to eat. This is actually a place I order delivery from often, so I already knew the taste would be reliable 🫡

How to find the 2nd-floor shop from the parking garage

It wasn't too hard to find! Go down into the basement mall parking lot of the Starbucks building (Jeil Poongkyungchae Centum), turn right, go all the way then turn right again, park nearby, then take the elevator marked as the shopping mall up to the 2nd floor — Yangchonri Donkaseu is right there ✔️
Inside Yangchonri Donkaseu Millak: a clean, tidy dining room

The clean interior was the first thing that caught my eye.
The menu: pork cutlets plus hamburg steak, noodles and grilled baby octopus

Yangchonri Donkaseu Millak Branch sells a wide variety of dishes, so it looked like a good spot even if everyone in your group has different tastes. Especially if you're looking for a Millak lunch spot, the variety of hearty lunch options here is a real plus! Someone craving pork cutlet, someone craving hamburg steak, someone craving noodles, someone craving stir-fried octopus — everyone can order what they want 🙂

You order via the QR code stuck to the table, and instead of just getting one basic pork cutlet, we decided to share several dishes. As usual, my husband and I, the big eaters that we are.... ordered three servings' worth ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ So what we ordered was: cheese pork cutlet + mini udon ₩16,900, demi hamburg 2pcs ₩13,900, rosé pork cutlet ₩12,900. Total ₩43,700!
What's at the self-serve bar?

At the self-bar there are plates, scissors, tongs, a child's spoon and fork

And there's pickled radish, kimchi, bean sprouts, seasoned radish, and yeolmu (young radish) kimchi

A thoughtful touch — disposable aprons

And there was also clear broth soup (jangguk)~!
The table set for three servings

Finally it arrived — cheese pork cutlet + mini udon, demi hamburg 2pcs, and rosé pork cutlet!
Cheese pork cutlet with mini udon, 16,900 won

First up, the cheese pork cutlet I'd been eyeing! As you can see in the photo, there's a generous amount of cheese sauce piled on top of the cutlet, and it looked incredibly appetizing just from that.

Eating the crispy-fried cutlet together with the soft, savory mozzarella cheese gave that familiar, comforting taste unique to Western-style pork cutlets.

And the mini udon that came with it was great too. It felt like it cleaned up your palate! The pork cutlet and udon combo is hard to go wrong with, as always~

And the pepper that came alongside was a nice kick. Pork cutlet can get a little greasy as you eat, but the pepper cut through that greasiness!

The pork cutlet sauce had lots of vegetables in it too, like button mushrooms and onion! The sauce is everything with pork cutlet, and this one was easily the best part👍
Demi hamburg steak 2pcs, 13,900 won

The second dish was the demi hamburg. Two round hamburg steak patties came out, topped generously with rich demi-glace sauce. And on top, a fried egg too!

Popping the yolk and eating it together with the hamburg steak added a savory, smooth richness that was delicious. It came with rice and salad, so it made for a very filling meal. The soft charm that only hamburg steak has ㅠㅠ♡ If you're looking to enjoy a variety of dishes at a lunch spot in Uijeongbu, the hamburg steak seems like a solid choice too!
Rosé pork cutlet, 12,900 won

And finally, the one I was most curious about — rosé pork cutlet! There was a generous amount of rosé sauce piled on top of the cutlet, and on top of that, a heap of onions. It felt distinctly different from a typical demi-sauce pork cutlet, so it was a great choice for when you want something a bit different. The soft, creamy rosé sauce combined with the crunchy texture of the onions paired really well with the cutlet.
Verdict: is Yangchonri Donkaseu worth it for a Millak lunch?
💛Final thoughts💛 This time I tried the cheese pork cutlet, demi hamburg, and rosé pork cutlet at Yangchonri Donkaseu Millak Branch! Since they also sell stir-fried octopus (jikhwa jjukkumi) besides pork cutlets, I'll have to try that next time~ Rather than being a pork cutlet specialty spot with just one dish, it was nice that it's a place centered on pork cutlet where you can also enjoy hamburg steak, udon, noodles and more all together. If you're looking for a good pork cutlet lunch spot in Uijeongbu or Millak, I felt this place was solid for a hearty lunch. If you like Western-style pork cutlet, this is definitely a Millak-dong pork cutlet spot worth visiting at least once 🤎
