Jeju Seom Godeungeo Ssambap is located on Jochamhaean-ro near Hamdeok Beach, and it's a pet-friendly restaurant. The interior is really big, isn't it? It's in a great spot to stop by while touring Hamdeok! As a dog owner... places like this are truly precious 🖤

I love Hamdeok so much, so I stopped by while sightseeing, and the sea is right in front of the shop — total Jeju vibes ✨

The main menu at Jeju Seom Godeungeo Ssambap has mackerel wrap set, black pork stir-fry, and braised hairtail! You order using the kiosk set up at every table.

There are also various side dishes prepared as well — if you want rice and Korean food in Jeju, I highly recommend visiting!

When you order the mackerel wrap set for two, the basic side dishes come out first! Since it's a wrap meal, there are wrap vegetables too, and look — there's soy sauce marinated crab among the side dishes... 👀

There's a variety of side dishes starting with seasoned vegetables — the whole table is set quite generously!

Soy sauce marinated crab 🦀 Honestly I came here for the mackerel so I didn't expect much from the crab, but look how packed with meat it is... I almost finished a whole bowl of rice before the main dish even came out lol. This is a side dish, and the quality is really good! (You can also order extra or buy it separately, apparently haha)

If the side dishes run low, you can just go grab more from the self-serve bar! Since it opened not long ago, everything is managed cleanly and kept well-stocked, which I liked!

Cucumber salad, pickles, seaweed salad, and more — there's a wide variety of side dishes beyond the basics, so go grab more at the self-serve bar ✨ (I thought this would be great to bring your parents to)

How do you eat braised mackerel topped with aged kimchi?

The mackerel wrap set at Jeju Seom Godeungeo Ssambap has plenty of mackerel underneath, with a whole piece of aged kimchi on top. Once it starts bubbling, just cut the kimchi into bite-sized pieces!

And!! Finally, the main dish has arrived

It's a red sauce dish, and you know you have to eat something spicy at least once during a Jeju trip, right? That's how you clear your stomach~~

Since a whole piece of kimchi is on top, once it starts bubbling, just cut the kimchi into bite-sized pieces haha (I'm drooling just writing this, that kimchi is seriously delicious...)

Once you've finished that prep work, the sauce has fully soaked into the mackerel too haha

You have to put the mackerel meat and kimchi together like this — the kimchi wasn't too crunchy or too soft, so it went really well with rice ❤️😋

Since I came for the mackerel wrap, I tried wrapping it once too. Personally I love wrap vegetables so much... it's not not-delicious!! I'm saying it's delicious!

Put a little rice on the wrap, add the mackerel and well-cooked kimchi, and take a bite! Eating just fish the whole time can get a bit much, but with the wraps, seasoned vegetables, and other side dishes mixed in, you can enjoy it deliciously to the last bite! haha Can you see how well-seasoned that kimchi is~?
