Cheonan café for family brunch and gorgonzola pizza: Geurimseu Cafe

Following on from last time, today I’m introducing a great Cheonan brunch spot to visit with a cute little niece too, haha. There was a festival in Cheonan, so we went along, then wondered where we should wrap up the day—and luckily, there was a café nearby. It was Geurimseu Cafe!

This place is open year-round, and we visited by car! You can use public transport too, but it was far that day and we had a child with us, so we weren’t getting around on foot,, You can enjoy brunch as well as coffee, and it is well equipped with conveniences such as wheelchair access and high chairs!

And most importantly, parking haha. You can park right in front of the café. Since it is such a large café, the parking area was spacious too. We visited on a weekend afternoon, and there were still plenty of spaces.

A spacious place for kids and dogs

Around Geurimseu Cafe, you can spot children’s toys and little ride-on cars. The space is large and pleasant, so it is great for kids to run around, while the outdoor terrace seems like a nice environment for dogs to play too!

There were also various cakes and delicious breads to look at! Even in the afternoon, there were still some breads and cakes left, so I do not think you need to worry.

Brunch and drink menu selection

And then, the all-important drinks menu. There was a separate brunch menu, and drink prices were generally in the ₩6,000–₩7,000 range, similar to other cafés, with plenty of variety! One thing, though: there was no separate menu for babies.

Thin-crust gorgonzola pizza with honey

We were a little hungry, so we ordered the gorgonzola pizza. It was huge, and that rich gorgonzola cheese aroma hit you right away, you know?! We were definitely full, but it still looked so appetizing! It was more than enough for one three-year-old and three adults.

They gave us plenty of honey, and the crust was thin. Maybe because it was a wood-fired pizza, it had that smoky flavor; the clean, mild taste went so well with the gentle sweetness of the honey..! Pizza with coffee was not a bad pairing either!

Coffee tailored for acidity or nuttiness, plus strawberry smoothie

My brother-in-law and I ordered ashotchu—an iced tea with an espresso shot—while my pregnant younger sister ordered a strawberry smoothie. We could choose the level of acidity and nuttiness, and decaf was available too, which made it feel less burdensome. My sister had the strawberry smoothie, and my niece liked its fresh, sweet-tart flavor, as if it had been blended straight from the fruit!

A Cheonan brunch where a whole pizza disappeared in no time

Eating and eating again, haha. That huge pizza disappeared in no time, while my brother-in-law could barely come inside properly because the little one was riding the little car outside,, The weather was slightly overcast, so there were not many people inside, but once it gets cooler and clearer, I imagine it will probably be bustling..! Still, the child was happy, and I think it was a day my younger sister’s family and we all enjoyed quite comfortably! 🙄👍 If you are thinking of making a drive out for brunch, this is a place worth keeping in mind 😁
