Exosome facial on a lunch break near Seoul City Hall: Beautae Esthetic

I don't usually break out, but lately I've been getting some trouble spots and pretty severe inner dryness, so I decided to get a facial again.

I heard there was a lunchtime Happy Meal event near City Hall Station, so I dashed over right away. This is Beautae Esthetic, well known for skin care around Myeongdong — apparently it's known as one of the go-to Myeongdong esthetics, not just for facials 👀

It's a 7-minute walk from City Hall Station, located on the 6th floor of the Hyoryeong Building!

I found the layout of Beautae Esthetic interesting — right past the front door is the counter, which doubles as the consultation room. There's also a separate waiting area next to it.

How does the consultation work? A form that checks daily habits too

At Beautae Esthetic, once you sit down they give you a consultation checklist. The consultation is based on that, and unlike other places, they check extremely detailed things.

Bedtime, hours of deep sleep, menstrual regularity, whether you're on birth control, period pain intensity, meal times, number of meals — apparently all these everyday details are connected to your skin.

Which treatment to pick: the Multi-Booster at Beautae Esthetic

They said the LDM water-drop lifting promotes skin regeneration!! It absorbs nutrients comfortably and isn't painful or stinging 🥹 I've had some needle-shot treatments before that really hurt, so I was relieved.. 😂

They use a Nijuran exosome ampoule and push it into the skin with a device, helping with skin regeneration and inner dryness care.

Since my skin is sensitive and prone to redness, they told me my skin barrier was compromised. When the barrier is damaged and there's inner dryness, the lack of internal moisture lowers skin immunity, making it harder to defend against outside dust and pollutants right away 😶‍🌫️ So this treatment helps by pushing regeneration deep inside so the skin can become healthier.👍👍

What is the private one-person treatment room like?

It's a private one-person treatment room, and I liked that the locker was inside the room too!! I liked not having to move around outside after changing into the treatment gown.👍

The facial step by step: cleansing, Blue Exosome, water-drop lifting

I came in wearing sunscreen, so they helped me cleanse first.

For the multi-booster, you can choose between an exosome or a PDRN salmon ampoule, and I went with exosome! There are two types of exosome, blue 💙 and black 🖤.

I went with blue, which is said to restore skin moisture through regeneration, targeting inner dryness improvement. So they push the Blue Exosome into the skin using water-drop lifting.

Even the water-drop lifting probe alone helps with skin regeneration, but adding the regenerative ampoule on top of it helps the skin regenerate faster, deep down to the dermis.

Just pushing it in helps regenerate inner dryness while also shrinking pores — two birds with one stone 💕 When I mentioned my butterfly-zone pores were bothering me during the treatment, they focused intensively on that area for me.

Microcurrent beauty device and calming pack

Next up was a microcurrent beauty device, carefully used to help everything absorb better! The microcurrent made the muscles underneath twitch a little.

After the device treatment, they applied a pack, which helps bring down the heat from facial redness. It tackles inner dryness first, then addresses outer dryness and redness once more.

Looking at the after photos, I could actually see the redness on both cheeks gradually going down.

After the treatment, they sat me back down at the consultation table and explained, using before and after photos, exactly which areas were treated and what changed. Usually a facial just ends there — but this time I could immediately see which parts had improved from which treatment, and I really liked that.

Beautae Esthetic also has a separate powder room

There's a separate powder room, so even if you have plans right after your treatment, you can freshen up there before heading out. Everything you'd need was stocked — hair dryer, comb, hairspray, and more.👍

Getting a facial after a while like this made me really think about my everyday eating and sleeping habits, and I left very satisfied with how thorough the treatment was! Since there's also a lunchtime Happy Meal event, I'd recommend anyone working nearby to check it out.
