450g Korean beef triple cheeseburger with kid-friendly fries: Daily

In short

Daily Fix Seoul National University Entrance is a handmade burger restaurant with Korean beef patties near Gwanak-gu Office at the entrance of Sharosu-gil in Seoul. The writer ate the triple cheeseburger, bacon cheeseburger, and French fries with her family, and the juicy 450g patty and thick, smoky bacon stood out. Daily Fix has in-building parking and is worth visiting when you want a burger that feels like eating meat itself.

That day when I was dieting but desperately wanted a burger

One of the foods I gave up when I started dieting was burgers, but suddenly I wanted one so badly. You know those days — the feeling that you'll go crazy if you don't eat it! So instead of regular fast food, I decided to go get a handmade burger, and headed to Daily Fix, a well-known restaurant in Sharosu-gil.

A handmade burger restaurant with parking in Sharosu-gil

Daily Fix is at the entrance of Sharosu-gil, right in front of Gwanak-gu Office. What's genuinely great is that it has parking!! There are lots of good restaurants in Sharosu-gil, but most don't have parking, which always made visits inconvenient — but Daily Fix has parking, so I could go easily.

Daily Fix entrance located on the first floor of the building

Known as a favorite not just in Sharosu-gil but around Gwanak-gu Office, the place was packed with customers. Even though we arrived a bit after the weekday lunch rush, there wasn't an empty seat. It's right in front of Seoul National University Entrance Station on Line 2, and since it draws both students and office workers, a lot of people come alone as well as with friends or coworkers.

The restaurant fully packed even past the weekday lunch rush

A striking interior with bold yellow sofas

The interior felt hip, like a foreign burger joint, and the yellow sofas in particular were really striking. There were seats ranging from tables for two to group seating, so we could sit comfortably without any pressure.

A handmade burger menu that's also great for solo dining

Daily Fix, a Sharosu-gil favorite, makes its patties from 100% Korean beef fresh every morning, apparently. In other words, this isn't fast food but food made with real care. On top of that, they say they use pastrami and handmade bacon aged for 100 hours, plus a signature sauce developed in-house, drawing on the know-how of chefs who came from New York's Michelin three-star Per Se and two-star Momofuku Ko. Doesn't your mouth water just hearing that?

With that kind of care put into the burgers, there were also a huge number of varieties. Ordering a set that includes French fries and cola with your burger adds ₩4,900.

The side menu was varied too — even just the fries alone came in a ton of different types.

You order at the table using the kiosk, and you also pay there.

The juicy triple cheeseburger and the bacon cheeseburger Kang Min-kyung loved

We ordered the triple cheeseburger, the bacon cheeseburger that singer Kang Min-kyung apparently fell for, plus French fries and two drinks.

Table setting with the triple cheeseburger and French fries

Wow... the moment the triple cheeseburger appeared, its visuals overwhelmed everything. The 100% Korean beef patty weighs a whopping 450g — usually when you go eat Korean beef, one serving is 150g, so this is like three servings' worth. With that much cheese piled on top too, how could the visuals not be amazing!!

The French fries we ordered for our kid were on a completely different level from what you'd get at a regular fast food place. They used clean oil, it seemed, because they had this fluffy, airy texture.

Isn't taking a bite of fries before the burger some kind of unwritten rule? I dipped them in ketchup and they were so, sooo good. Freshly fried fries — need I say more?

See that? These are the fries — you can just tell how fresh they look, haha.

Alright, let's dig into the handmade burger. Here's the triple cheeseburger holding a 450g patty I was so, so curious about — even the skewer stuck in it looks like it's struggling to hold up the Korean beef patty.

The triple cheeseburger cut into four pieces

My husband cut it really carefully. With that much meat, it wasn't easy. Wow..... wow..... can you see the cross-section? This is the incredible visual of the triple patty.

We cut it into four pieces, and just one piece already felt like it would fill you up. By the way, they really do make the patties fresh in the morning — the juiciness was insane. What kind of burger patty has this much juice?? That visual can only come from 100% Korean beef, right?

Wow... this triple patty is truly too much to handle, haha. It's soooo delicious!!!! It's the kind of good that makes your shoulders rise with pride. It made me confused about whether I was eating a handmade burger or came here to eat straight-up meat. It's really, reeeally that good. If you love meat, don't hesitate — you have to order this!!!

The bacon cheeseburger's kick comes from thick-cut bacon

Next up is the burger Kang Min-kyung reportedly fell for! Looking at it right after the triple cheeseburger, it seems a bit smaller, but it's still quite sizable~

Let's split it in half~ Sure enough, with the bacon cheeseburger too, the patty does all the work — even with just one layer of it, the meaty flavor was outstanding. And that juiciness too! But the real key point here is the bacon.

It's not cheap bacon — I'm not sure if it's handmade or not, but either way this thick-cut bacon doubled the flavor. Whoever grilled it did such a great job that the smoky, charred aroma just burst out of the bacon, and that was also amazing.

Daily Fix, a Sharosu-gil favorite — I really have to give it praise. Handmade burgers really are the way to go for burgers. It's a taste that's not even comparable to fast food chains. Daily Fix solved my burger cravings in one shot — I love it.

Our fry-averse kid ate half the fries

And the fries were super delicious too. Our kid never eats fast food fries, so honestly I didn't expect much when I ordered these, but then — huh?? 'Potato!' she said, and ended up eating them really well. I think she ate about half by herself. Next time I think we could just have her order less salt and give her a whole plate~

Daily Fix, the Sharosu-gil favorite where our whole family had a completely satisfying meal! I truly recognize it as a top handmade burger spot. Oh, and my husband, who ate the triple cheeseburger, said he was full all day and skipped dinner...
