Spicy mentaiko pasta and eggplant rice bowl in Hanam Misa: Roi Sikdang
In short
Roi Sikdang is a Japanese home-style restaurant on Misagangbyeonbuk-ro 30beon-gil in Hanam, Gyeonggi. A regular who has been coming since high school shared two dishes with a friend at lunch: the eggplant tempura meat rice bowl at 14,900 won and the 100% fresh cream mentaiko pasta in spicy at 17,900 won, which arrived almost at the same time and were easy to split. With pretty plating, Roi Sikdang works just as well for a date as for a casual lunch in Hanam Misa.

Roi Sikdang is a Hanam Misa restaurant with a great atmosphere and delicious food. I was planning to get lunch with a close friend recently and while we were looking through menus deciding what to eat, I ended up revisiting Roi Sikdang — a Hanam Misa restaurant I've been going to since I was in high school — for the first time in ages. Even after all this time, the food is still just as good and the staff and owner are still just as kind, so I wanted to write up a thorough post again today.

What is the inside of Roi Sikdang like?
Maybe because it's a Japanese home-style restaurant, the interior of Roi Sikdang feels cozy from the moment you walk in. The interior design is cute and detailed, reminding me of restaurants I visited on trips to Japan — like a little slice of Japan tucked into Misa, and

Since I've been coming here since I was young, it's a place that's kept steadily running in the same spot, and it's always been popular from back then to now — even going at an off-peak lunch hour, every seat was full, and there was a wait during peak times!!
Roi Sikdang menu and how to order at the kiosk
Ordering at Roi Sikdang is done via a kiosk in front of the restaurant, but there's also a menu at the table you can look at, which made it easy to order after checking it out.

Each menu item has detailed descriptions of the flavors, so it's easy to pick even if it's your first visit, and with such a wide variety there are plenty of options to choose from,
Eggplant tempura meat rice bowl 14,900 won and 100% cream mentaiko pasta 17,900 won

- Eggplant tempura meat rice bowl 14,900 won
- 100% cream mentaiko pasta 17,900 won
My friend, who loves mentaiko (seasoned pollock roe) and wanted noodles, chose the 100% cream mentaiko pasta in spicy flavor, and I, wanting rice, chose the eggplant tempura rice bowl, so we ordered both to share, and

the dishes came out with such pretty plating that it was fun not just to eat but to look at, and it was so nice that both dishes arrived at almost the same time — very considerate for sharing between friends — and

How does the eggplant tempura meat rice bowl taste?
The eggplant tempura meat rice bowl has a sauce packed with meat that was totally my type — savory with an insane amount of umami, delicious enough to rave about even eaten with just the rice alone, and

on top of that, paired with the sweet eggplant tempura, tangy tomato, and light broccoli that come with it, the umami and the sweetness of the vegetables doubled — it was so good that I still want to eat it again right now, and

How does the spicy 100% cream mentaiko pasta taste?
The cream mentaiko pasta my friend ordered had a completely thick, rich cream sauce, and the sauce was a bit spicy in a way that doesn't get tiring, with the mentaiko bringing umami and just the right salty seasoning — it was so delicious!!!
Is Roi Sikdang worth it? Final verdict on this Hanam Misa restaurant

- I've been steadily going here since high school, and no matter when I go, the staff are kind and the food is delicious!!!
