I've been to a lot of BBQ restaurants with kids' zones, but this one was a little different! A Misa Station restaurant where both kids and parents were happy 🥩 I'm a mom documenting daily life raising a boy and girl four years apart. Looking for a family outing to celebrate my husband's birthday, I found this spot near Misa Station that seemed great to visit with the kids.

When eating out with kids, the taste of the food matters, but I also look closely at whether there's a play area. Since this place was new, I was curious, and I'd heard the kids could play comfortably while we ate, so I decided to check it out for the first time. I've visited plenty of BBQ restaurants with kids' zones, but this was one of the cleanest and most pleasant I've been to.

Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Hanam Misa Branch is located in the same building as Pharm Square, a warehouse-style pharmacy, and Jurarium, an indoor zoo. It's easy to find if you take the elevator in front of Jurarium. The aging room near the entrance caught my eye right away, and there were several private group rooms too. It seemed like a great spot not just for family meals but for work dinners or gatherings. The glass-walled kids' zone you can watch from the kiosk

The kids' zone is the most important thing when you're with children, and it's the biggest reason I liked Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Hanam Misa Branch. I've been to several restaurants with kids' zones, but this one was among the cleanest and most pleasant facilities I've seen. There were plenty of things to play with, and since it's enclosed in glass, I could watch the kids play while eating.

You can even monitor the kids' zone through a kiosk, so I could eat in peace while the kids played. The kids' zone runs until 9:30 PM. Kids having fun while parents leisurely enjoy their meal — isn't that exactly the combo you want when eating out with children? 😊

Kids' menu and the self-serve bar

Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Hanam Misa Branch also has a separate kids' menu, including a seaweed soup set and jjajang rice, so it's a good option if you visit with children. I also appreciated that the kids' tableware was kept clean in a sterilizer — that kind of attention to detail matters. The self-serve bar was equally clean, well-stocked with plenty of fresh vegetables.

The half-pig pork spread and the free side dishes

We ordered half a pig's worth of pork that day. It came with generous side dishes, plus complimentary doenjang jjigae, mooksabal, and jjolmyeon, so the meal ended up more filling than I expected. My kid loved the japchae (stir-fried glass noodles) side dish so much and ate it right up. Little side dishes like that actually matter a lot when eating out with kids.

I thought it was shredded scallions — the plot twist

At first I thought, 'wow, that's a generous serving of shredded scallions,' but looking closer, there was jjolmyeon hidden underneath 😂 Eaten with the meat, it was tangy and spicy and cut through the richness — surprisingly good together.

An extra burner beside the charcoal grill

There was an extra burner beside the grill, so I could keep the doenjang jjigae warm the whole meal. It's a bummer when the stew goes cold while you're busy eating meat, but this way it stayed hot until the end. If you order three or more servings of mixed or single-cut meat, they also give you grilled fish. Coming for BBQ and getting grilled fish too made the spread feel even more generous.

Don't skip the kkeopdegi (pork belly skin)

I love kkeopdegi (pork belly skin), so I ordered it as an add-on. It's thick, unseasoned skin, grilled until crispy — crunchy outside, chewy inside, and really tasty. Dipped in the spicy sauce and bean powder, it was 👍.

Ending with cold mul-naengmyeon

After eating our fill of meat, we finished with mul-naengmyeon, of course! It was clean and refreshing, a satisfying way to end the meal.

Where do you park at Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang?

Parking was easy too. Parking in the building is free for 2.5 hours, and if it's full, you can use the public parking lots at Hanam Sports Complex or Hanam Civic Sports Center for 4 hours free.

From the roulette event to dessert

There was even a roulette event on the kiosk, and near the entrance there was a coffee machine and puffed rice snacks for the kids to grab while playing. From the meal to dessert, there wasn't a dull moment.

Is it good for group gatherings?

Beyond family meals, the space is also well set up for group visits. Private rooms fit 6 to 26 people, and group seating can hold up to 100. It seems like a good fit for family gatherings, work dinners, birthdays, or meals with parents — anywhere you need to seat a crowd. Pets are welcome, though they need to stay in a carrier inside the restaurant. Corkage is allowed too (no wine or whiskey glasses provided).

Would we come back for family dining with kids?

This was our first visit to Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Hanam Misa Branch. Since it's newly opened, I went with high expectations, and what I liked most was not just the meat but the kids' zone where the children could play comfortably, plus how clean the whole place was.

Most of all, the kids loved it so much that we parents got some breathing room during the meal. Every time we eat out with the kids, we end up wondering 'where should we go today?' — but here, good meat + a clean kids' zone + easy parking are all solved in one place, so my family will likely be back often.
