Changwon Korean BBQ group dinner spot for 44 with parking: Jeju Doldam
In short
Jeju Doldam Sangnam Main Branch is a Korean BBQ restaurant in Sangnam-dong, Changwon, where staff grill Jeju black pork tableside. On a weekday evening at 7pm the restaurant was nearly full, and the writer ordered Jeju black pork raw pork belly 400g for ₩44,000 with mul-naengmyeon (cold noodle soup), while confirming tables that seat up to 44 people, parking support at the Earth Building, and outdoor waiting seats and a smoking area. A solid pick to keep in mind for a group work dinner or a gathering with a baby in tow.

A store with a dol hareubang statue — good for group dinners?

True to its name, Jeju Doldam had a dol hareubang (stone grandfather statue) right outside the entrance. I genuinely wondered for a second whether I was in Jeju or Changwon haha.
Jeju means black pork, right..? Seeing the whole place decked out with Jeju touches starting from the statue got me weirdly excited before I even ate any meat +_+

Since Jeju Doldam can seat up to 44 people, the tables were laid out spaciously too, and it looked like a great spot for a group dinner or gathering.

How was the weekday evening wait?
I visited around 7pm on a weekday, and the place was almost completely full.
I was thinking, it's this busy even on a Monday..? But by around 8pm there was a bit of a lull. If you're worried about waiting, I'd actually recommend coming later! 👍 Highly recommended as a popular BBQ spot in Sangnam-dong.

Outside the restaurant there were also separate waiting seats and a smoking area. Seeing details like that made me think it's definitely a solid choice for a work dinner or group gathering.
Parking info

Jeju Doldam Sangnam Main Branch offers parking support at the Earth Building parking lot, from B1 to B3. Even though I visited around 7pm on a weekday, there were still plenty of open spots.

That day I ordered the Jeju black pork raw pork belly 400g and mul-naengmyeon.
Quick tip! Since Jeju Doldam Sangnam Main Branch gives you kimchi jjigae (kimchi stew) as a free side dish, I'd recommend ordering rice to go with it 🥰
Jeju raw pork belly 400g — staff grill it all for you

The 400g pork belly came out as three thick cuts of meat. The fat ratio looked just right, and it clearly looked like quality meat, so I was excited even before eating 🥹
Staff grilled all the meat for us, so there was zero oil splatter,

and all I had to do was sit there and munch on the side dishes ㅎ.ㅎ It'd been ages since I had pink sausage, and it was surprisingly good haha.
After the staff finished grilling, they placed the meat on the stone plate,

Whoa, this is so chewy-tender
For a second I felt like I was back in Jeju — it truly was Jeju black pork reproduced. The skin on the pork belly was incredibly chewy and the meat had juicy flavor locked in 🥹 I could see why it was so busy even on a Monday evening (turns out it's already a well-known local favorite...).

Side dish combos and mul-naengmyeon
There was a good variety of side dishes too — I tried different combos with galchi-sokjeot (fermented spicy hairtail innards), myeong-i namul (wild garlic leaves), lettuce wraps, kimchi, and so on. The galchi-sokjeot and myeong-i namul combo was personally my favorite.
You've got to let your stomach rest a bit while eating, right? I had a bite of kimchi jjigae with meat in it, then dug into the mul-naengmyeon I'd ordered too. The side dishes were tasty as well, so I'd recommend this place for a work dinner.

The mul-naengmyeon especially had that clean, refreshing feel that settles your stomach while eating meat, so I kept going back for more.
