I was walking through Seorae Village when I spotted a café whose desserts looked amazing, and that's how I ended up at Remangdore Seorae Village Branch. I already love Basque cheesecake and have tried it at plenty of places, but this one hit my taste exactly!!!! It's been a while since I found a true best-ever cheesecake spot. From the coffee to the desserts, everything had its own character, so let me introduce it to anyone looking for a great dessert café in Seorae Village.

Where is Remangdore Seorae Village Branch, and what does it look like?
Remangdore Seorae Village Branch is a 5-minute walk from Express Bus Terminal Station Exit 5 and a 10-minute walk from Sinbanpo Station. It sits right at the entrance of Seorae Village. Even the exterior had a calm, refined look that matched the neighborhood's atmosphere.

Can you bring a dog to Remangdore?
At the entrance of Remangdore Seorae Village Branch there's a PET FRIENDLY sign. It says dogs that have completed their vaccinations may enter, though movement inside the café is restricted — worth keeping in mind if you're visiting with your dog.

Inside Remangdore: atmosphere and seating
Stepping inside, the wood-tone interior and large windows create a warm atmosphere, with seats set up along the window. There's also terrace seating further in.

The bakery counter and baked treats at Remangdore
There was a lot of bakery selection too — egg tarts, chocolate tarts, chocolate baguettes, and more.

From classic financiers to yuzu lemon madeleine, matcha madeleine, chocolat madeleine, and Earl Grey white chocolate madeleine, there was quite a variety of baked treats.

They also had gift-worthy packages ready — great for a gift for your girlfriend or your parents!

There was also jam that pairs well with the vanilla Basque cheesecake or the bread.

Remangdore's drink menu: what is the signature?
Remangdore's signature menu item is the ice cream float made with Sangha Farm-based ice cream! Among the no-coffee options were the Crème de Marron chestnut latte with Earl Grey cream and the Norwegian Forest matcha strawberry latte.

When ordering a coffee menu item, you can also choose the beans.

I ordered Today's Coffee, the classic egg tart, and the vanilla Basque cheesecake.

Iced Today's Coffee with the Autumn Blend
The coffee I ordered was the iced Today's Coffee, and the bean prepared that day was the autumn blend. The autumn blend is a Kenya 70% + Brazil 30% combination, expressing notes of ripe persimmon, chestnut, and peanut.

Drinking it myself, I personally felt the acidity first. It went well with a bite of the sweet, rich cheesecake, cleansing the palate nicely — the pairing worked great.

What does the vanilla Basque cheesecake taste like?
And the thing I liked most that day — the vanilla Basque cheesecake! I picked it because even in the display case, the cut cross-section looked so dense and soft, and eating it in person was the best. The outside has that deeply caramelized Basque cheesecake color, but inside it's a completely opposite creamy texture.

From the moment the fork went in it was incredibly soft, and one bite just melts in your mouth! It's not just a dense cheesecake — it has a moist, softly-melting texture that was totally my taste. Look closely and you can see vanilla bean specks throughout the cake; the subtle vanilla flavor paired beautifully with the rich cheese taste. It's not overly sweet a dessert — more like the rich, savory cheese flavor with vanilla aroma added on top. This is genuinely one I want to save as a best-ever cheesecake spot.

Classic egg tart with visible pastry layers
I also ordered the classic egg tart alongside. Compared to a typical egg tart, the first thing that caught my eye was the pastry layers! The layered texture at the edges was clearly visible, and the middle was packed full of filling. You get both crispy pastry and soft filling together, making it a great light pairing with coffee. If the cheesecake is a rich, creamy dessert, the egg tart lets you enjoy a crisp texture too — ordering both together made for a great combination.

Is Remangdore Seorae Village Branch worth a visit?
Overall, Remangdore Seorae Village Branch has a wide variety of desserts, making it great for a light coffee stop or for a proper dessert day. In particular, I want to go back just for the vanilla Basque cheesecake. If you're looking for a great dessert spot in Seorae Village or a good-vibe dessert café near Express Bus Terminal, give Remangdore Seorae Village Branch a try. Especially if you love Basque cheesecake, I really recommend trying the vanilla Basque cheesecake at least once.
