Sinnonhyeon brunch restaurant with window seats: The Mignon Seoul

Brides-to-be out here hunting for a Sinnonhyeon spot to hand out wedding invitations, right? Well, I found the perfect restaurant for exactly that. Let's get into the post.

The Mignon Seoul: 5 minutes on foot from Sinnonhyeon Station

This time I visited The Mignon Seoul (더미뇽 서울), which was easy to find since it's about a 5-minute walk from Sinnonhyeon Station.

With that red frame(?) and the wide floor-to-ceiling windows, it genuinely felt like a European house out of a fairy tale, haha. So from the start I was already going in like,

Oh, this place is pretty.

and walking through the door.

First-floor window seats or the second floor, and how far apart are the tables?

The Mignon Seoul has a 1st and 2nd floor, and once I went in, it wasn't just the exterior that was pretty — the inside was even better! The interior was upscale and modern with real European vibes.

And what I really loved was how spacious it felt. A lot of pretty restaurants these days pack tables in tight, right? There's none of that here. The tables are spread out, seats are comfortable, and most importantly — no echo. This matters so much, lol. Since the tables aren't jammed together and sound doesn't bounce around, it was genuinely great for conversation. We sat at a 1st-floor window table, and the vibe there was lovely too.

I checked out the 2nd floor too, and it's also spacious and clean — I want to sit up there next time. A restaurant like this near Gangnam Station... low-key touched. Good for a date, good for brunch with friends too.

I thought it would also work well as a spot near Gangnam Station for handing out wedding invitations. I still have one invitation gathering left, and I'm seriously considering doing it here, lol.

The three dishes ordered at The Mignon Seoul

What we ordered that day was

• Truffle white ragu pasta
• Soup
• Popover pancakes

— that's it.

First, downing the americano

Truffle white ragu pasta

Next up is the white ragu pasta. It's The Mignon's signature dish, made with truffle, white ragu, and cheese.

The truffle aroma comes through pretty strong right away. The sauce is thick and clingy on the noodles (great for scooping with a spoon), and as I ate, I picked up a slightly bulgogi-like savoriness too.

With truffle, cheese, and a thick sauce all together, the flavor's on the rich side. And overall the dish just looked pretty, so it was fun to photograph.

Mushroom soup: is it fine if you dislike mushrooms?

The soup was mushroom soup. With mushrooms piled on top, this one also came out looking pretty. Honestly, I'm not a big mushroom fan...

so when they said mushroom soup, I was a little worried, haha. But it barely tasted like mushroom? It was rich and pretty good. Passed the test since even a mushroom-hater could enjoy it.

Popover pancakes, the favorite of the meal

And my absolute favorite of the day was this. Popover pancakes. The second it arrived, the colors were all over the place!!!

On top of the puffed-up pancake sits grilled banana, arugula, ricotta cheese, bacon, and tomato, and the colors are genuinely gorgeous.

Yellow, green, red, white — all on one plate, so it was fun taking food photos. And you absolutely have to eat the banana with the ricotta cheese together. The banana is sweet like a brûlée and the ricotta goes in soft, so eating them together was delicious.

At first with the bacon I thought,

Um...? Why is this here?

but after trying it, it was surprisingly good, haha.

Of everything I ate that day, the popover was my absolute favorite!! Recommending a restaurant near Gangnam Station? The Mignon Seoul, go go. The taste was good, but it also just made me happy because everything looked so pretty. If you're looking for brunch near Gangnam Station, go here. Overall the food was solidly good across the board, and every dish seemed to get real attention on presentation.

Does The Mignon Seoul work for a wedding invitation gathering?

But honestly, more than the food, what I loved was finding a spacious, comfortable restaurant near Gangnam Station... Spacious, clean, wide table spacing, and no echo, so conversation was easy. Around Gangnam Station, plenty of pretty restaurants exist but are way too cramped — this place had none of that suffocating feeling, which I appreciated.

It's a 5-minute walk from Sinnonhyeon Station and a 10-minute walk from Gangnam Station. Close, right?? Reservations are possible too — we booked through Catch Table before visiting. So it works fine for a date, fine for brunch near Gangnam Station with friends, and for people like me in the middle of wedding prep, it'd be a solid choice for a Sinnonhyeon invitation gathering.

I really do have one last invitation gathering left near Gangnam Station, and I'm thinking I might just pay out of my own pocket to come back here.
