Looking for a lunch spot near Gangnam Station

I had an appointment in Gangnam and was looking for a nice Western restaurant near Gangnam Station, so I went to The Mignon Seoul. The menu ranges from brunch to pasta, so it seemed like a good option for a lunch appointment haha.

We booked ahead through Catch Table before visiting. If you're going for a date or a group gathering, reserving in advance seems like a good idea.

The red sign outside The Mignon Seoul

When we arrived in front of the restaurant, the red sign and window frames really caught my eye. It had a European restaurant vibe, and with the nice weather it looked even prettier. The exterior stands out even from the alley, so it wasn't hard to find on our first visit.

Wide seating that suits blind dates and group meals

Stepping inside, the whole space felt bright and clean. White tones paired with wood chairs made it feel tidy yet warm, and the soft lighting added to the mood. Each table had basic settings already in place, so it felt more like a restaurant than a brunch café.

I thought The Mignon only had a first floor, but it was bigger than expected with a second floor too. There were plenty of tables, and the spacing between seats was generous. Compared to other Western restaurants near Gangnam Station, it felt much less crowded. The tables were spaced far enough apart that you couldn't really hear the conversation at the next one, so we could talk comfortably while eating.

Ordering at The Mignon Seoul's table kiosk

Ordering was easy through the kiosk at the table. It seems like way more restaurants these days take orders through a table kiosk or QR code! Even the basic glasses were wine glasses, which gave it a slightly neater, more upscale feel.

Passionfruit ade

Since we'd already been to a café, we only ordered one drink, but even that came in a fairly generous portion. We got the ade with passionfruit in it. The refreshing tartness cleaned the palate nicely, and it was great to sip between bites of food!

Seafood oil pasta

I was surprised by how big the portion was the moment the seafood oil pasta arrived. It came with shrimp and clams, with plump seafood piled on generously, so it looked hearty even just to look at. I worried an oil pasta might feel greasy, but it turned out not to be heavy at all.

The noodles had a nice oil flavor soaked in, and the savory taste from the seafood complemented it well. Eating the seafood along with the noodles gave it a nice texture, and I enjoyed it a lot.

Seasonal fruit French toast

The seasonal fruit French toast looked appetizing right from the start. The seasonal fruit was Shine Muscat grapes and figs, piled on generously. It also came with jamón and cheese, and the friend I was with said it was so delicious.

The sweet toast, combined with the freshness of the fruit and the salty taste of the jamón, meant it wasn't just endless sweetness. With ice cream added too, it worked well as a dessert, and the portion was bigger than expected, so I ended up really full,,

A slow meal with plenty of conversation

The staff were kind throughout the meal, and their easygoing service overall made for a pleasant meal haha.

🌿 The Mignon was a great place to enjoy conversation comfortably. Going in person, it left an impression not just for the food but for how comfortable the space itself felt. With roomy seat spacing and generous food portions, it was a good choice for a day when you want to eat at ease. I'll definitely think of it again when looking for Western food near Gangnam Station — recommended!
