Sinnonhyeon auto brew café comparing two americano colors: Selecto

I stopped by Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch 24 while I was around Sinnonhyeon, wanting coffee and something quick to eat. This is a 24-hour café near Sinnonhyeon Station, so you can go even late at night, but what actually surprised me was that you get to choose your own americano beans from several options. So instead of just ordering two identical iced americanos, we went with one mocha and one geisha blend.

Where is Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch 24, and what is the entrance like?

The signature orange Selecto sign made it easy to spot even while walking past. Near the entrance there was a big sign for the 24-hour unmanned print zone — a café with printing too? My first thought was, what is this.

What are the seats like? Window bar seats and sofa seats

Inside, there were more seats than I expected. Along the window there's a long bar seating area great for solo visits, and further in there are sofa seats and regular tables — plenty of people were there alone too. It felt like a comfortable spot to sit and relax over coffee like I was doing, and some people had laptops open as well. Above all, since it's a 24-hour café near Sinnonhyeon Station, I could see myself coming back here whenever I'm stuck for a coffee spot late at night.

On one side of the interior there was an actual printer and computer set up separately, labeled 24 AutoPRINT. If you ever suddenly need to print something, you could handle it here while having a coffee.

Five americano beans: how do you choose one?

The most interesting part here was the americano beans. Looking at the menu board, there were five total: mocha blend, Blue Mountain blend, bright Ethiopia blend, geisha blend, and decaf. I never expected to have this many choices just for ordering a plain americano.

We picked mocha blend for one and geisha blend for the other. According to the bean descriptions, the mocha blend had notes of chocolate, cacao, honey, and cherry, with a rich body, while the geisha blend had notes of floral, plum, and blackberry.

Putting the two cups side by side, the color difference was immediately obvious. The dark, almost black one on the left is the mocha blend, and the lighter, clearer-looking one on the right is the geisha blend. After years of ordering iced americanos without a second thought, choosing the beans myself turned out to be surprisingly fun. Lining the two cups up made the color difference stand out even more, so I kept comparing them. Being able to pick your own beans was honestly the most memorable part of this place.

The bakery and sandwich corner at Selecto Coffee

The display case had several kinds of cake and bagels too — cheesecake, tiramisu, camembert cheese mousse, gateau chocolat, as well as bagels and salt bread. We didn't try any of the other bread that day, just browsed through the menu.

There was a separate sandwich corner with quite a few options too. If you're looking for a bakery café near Sinnonhyeon Station and coffee alone feels like it's not enough, grabbing a sandwich here is perfect. We went with the chicken sandwich.

Chicken sandwich: what's inside and how it eats

It came cut in half, which made it easy to eat, and the cross-section showed a generous amount of chicken, lettuce, tomato, and red onion. There was especially a lot of lettuce, so each bite had a strong crunch. I was getting a bit hungry from just drinking coffee, so I was glad we ordered the sandwich too.

Worth going back to this 24-hour café near Sinnonhyeon Station?

I went to Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch 24 just thinking it was a café that happened to stay open 24 hours, but it turned out you can choose your own beans, they have sandwiches and bakery items, and even printing. I genuinely had fun lining up the mocha and geisha cups to compare colors. If I'm out late around Sinnonhyeon and craving coffee, this 24-hour café near Sinnonhyeon Station is the one I'd go back to.
