Today I want to introduce an ocean-view café in Songjeong, Busan! It sits right along the path where the beach train — one of the most famous attractions at Songjeong Beach — runs. Sipping tea while gazing out at the wide-open sea, with the beach train passing right in front of your eyes… doesn't the atmosphere alone sound amazing? Where is Suwolgyeonghwa, and its hours and parking

Suwolgyeonghwa (수월경화) is a café one minute on foot from Songjeong Beach in Busan, on the 4th floor of a building along the beach train route. It's open daily from 11:00 to 23:00, and parking is available in the piloti lot in front of the building on the 1st floor (double parking).

This is Suwolgyeonghwa café, one minute on foot from Songjeong Beach in Busan. The name Suwolgyeonghwa means "moon reflected in water, flower reflected in a mirror," and the space is designed to embody that idea, blending the concept with hanok (traditional Korean house) style.

Inside Suwolgyeonghwa: blue interiors and beach train views

The moment I walked in, the blue-toned interior and the beach train and sea visible through the huge windows made a strong impression. Suwolgyeonghwa's large windows bring the sea right in, so you can sit and watch the train pass by too.

Maybe because it's an ocean-view café with the sea in full view, I saw a lot of couples on dates and families here. With such big windows, it also seems like a great spot to enjoy different sea views across the four seasons! I get why this is one of Busan's representative cafés.

Because the space blends hanok style into it, the café felt really stylish and beautiful.

Suwolgyeonghwa's menu: leaf teas and traditional teas

This is Suwolgyeonghwa's menu board. I heard their various leaf teas and traditional teas are famous. There are lots of popular items like ssanghwa tea, hyeonwol hojicha, and hojicha gabae, and the Dalbodeure Box, packed with a variety of desserts, seemed perfect. Since I'd come all this way, I had to order the signature menu, right?

Ta-da~! Here's what I ordered. So pretty, right? Having coffee and dessert at an ocean-view café put me in such a good mood! The desserts were so pretty I almost felt bad eating them... Let me introduce them one by one!

What's in the 13,000 won Dalbodeure Box: 5 desserts

This is Suwolgyeonghwa's signature menu, the "Dalbodeure Box." It's priced at ₩13,000 and comes with 5 desserts: gamtae (seaweed) myeongnan financier, tongbat angbutter monaka, ganache monaka, black rice sulbbang (steamed rice cake), and injeolmi (rice cake) skewer. It looked so pretty I almost felt bad eating it. It's not very sweet — just sweet enough — so it seems like a great pick to order with your parents! Also, desserts like monaka feel like something older generations used to enjoy a lot..!! Highly recommend haha.

The best of the five: injeolmi skewer

Out of the 5 desserts in the Dalbodeure Box, the one I enjoyed most was the injeolmi skewer. It's a dessert where traditional glutinous rice cake, bean powder, honey, and brown rice all come together in nice harmony! It was sweeter than I expected, and the honey paired really well with the brown rice bean powder. Exactly to my taste!!

How Jeju Breeze and Miguksik Gabae tasted

This is the Jeju Breeze tea. Think of it as a tangy tea where the sweet-tart flavors of hallabong and tangerine, both reminiscent of Jeju, come together nicely. Sipping a refreshing tea while looking at the sea made me feel really calm and content. It's Busan, but somehow it felt like I was in Jeju,, haha.

If you're looking for a regular Americano, order the Miguksik Gabae. This is their classic Americano! Haha. The coffee wasn't too bitter or too weak, with a good body and aroma. I can't believe there's such an atmospheric café in Songjeong, Busan — travelers to Busan really should stop by! It'll make for a relaxing trip haha.
