Haeundae café Choti blend iced americano at 8am: Low & Sweet Bakery
In short
Low & Sweet Bakery is a self-roasting bakery café in the Haeri-dan-gil alleys of Haeundae, Busan that opens at 8am daily. This visit took away an iced americano pulled with the Choti blend along with an egg tart, a lemon madeleine and a fig cream cheese financier, and the heavy-bodied coffee paired well with the buttery bakes. In Haeundae, where most cafés open late, Low & Sweet Bakery is a good place to start an early morning of travel.

This is Yomireo. Haeundae, Busan's premier resort city, where blue waves and high-rise skylines coexist with characterful alley commercial districts. Walking along Haeundae Beach or through the Haeri-dan-gil alleys, you start looking for a morning bakery café to open your travel day with something fragrant and unhurried.
Many cafés here don't open until late morning or noon, which is disappointing for early-bird travelers and locals alike — so I visited Low & Sweet Bakery (RAW & SWEET), an oasis for early risers and an emotional hotspot that feels like a little sidewalk bakery lifted straight from a Paris backstreet.

Low & Sweet Bakery's Haeri-dan-gil exterior and terrace seats
Low & Sweet Bakery sits quietly on a calm alley right next to Haeundae's main commercial strip.

On top of the white plastered building, a calm white main awning and black dome canopy give off an exotic air, like standing in front of a small bakery beneath Montmartre in Paris. Lush hanging plants on the eaves and window rails add fresh green life.
Open the door of Low & Sweet Bakery and step inside, and you're greeted by the buttery scent of freshly baked bread and the nutty aroma of espresso.

Under the floor-to-ceiling windows along the street, long wooden benches, small round tea tables, and metal chairs are arranged naturally.
Travelers enjoying coffee and bread outdoors in the warm morning sun with a cool breeze complete a picture-perfect scene. 🏢☕
Inside, luxurious white marble tables and antique curved bentwood chairs create a classic dining mood.
A long black-and-white bold-striped sofa seating runs along the wall, serving as a striking visual accent.
In the terrace space toward the back of the store, pastel olive-green metal chairs and square marble tables sit neatly beneath green garden trees and ivy.
Leaf shadows cast over the wall and colorful string lights hanging from the ceiling combine to give the calm feeling of stepping into a hidden secret garden in the city.
An honest bakery and house-roasted coffee from 8am
True to its name, Low & Sweet (RAW & SWEET) is a leading specialty bakery café brand in Busan, offering pleasant sweetness (Sweet) and comfortable rest through unadorned, pure ingredients (Raw).

Fresh morning bakes at Low & Sweet Bakery, open daily at 8am
The buttery smell fills the Haeundae alley starting every morning at 8am. Egg tarts, financiers, canelés, lemon madeleines, pound cakes, handmade cookies, and flaky, well-laminated pastries are all baked fresh every morning, following a same-day-baked, same-day-sold principle.

Two house-roasted blends and single-origin drip coffee
True to a place serious about coffee, it has its own roasting setup. There's the 'Choti blend' with a heavy body and delicious nuttiness, the 'Mulatu blend' with bright fruity notes and crisp acidity, and single-origin filter drip coffee that carefully draws out the bean's natural terroir.

Are kids and pets welcome at Low & Sweet Bakery?
This is a yes-kids-zone where young children can comfortably use both the indoor and outdoor terrace seating. The menu even offers kid-only drinks — 'fresh milk' and sweet 'vanilla milk' — easing things for families traveling together. It's also a dog-friendly store where you can enjoy a relaxed cup of coffee with your beloved dog, giving the place a warm welcoming feel. 🐶👶🥛
What we ordered and how the takeout was packed
To enjoy a sweet home café tea time, I ordered a cold drink and three baked goods to go.

- Iced americano (Choti blend shot)
- Lemon madeleine
- Egg tart (Portuguese-style pastry)
- Fig cream cheese financier
The baked goods came packed in a white paper bag neatly printed with the stylish 'Raw and Sweet' cursive logo and QR code, and the cold iced americano was handed over in a clear cup stamped with the logo, with a clear green straw. 🛍️🥤
Choti blend iced americano: heavy body, clean finish

Through the clear takeout cup, deep, clear amber-brown coffee and cool ice cubes form distinct layers.

I took a deep sip through the straw. With no burnt taste or unpleasant bitterness at all, the bitterness of dark chocolate and the nutty warmth of roasted hazelnut filled my mouth with heavy body.
After swallowing, a subtle sweetness lingers with a clean cup finish, making it the ideal pairing for the sweet, buttery baked goods.

Egg tart: crisp pastry with a pudding-like custard
The round pastry dough, baked golden brown, has a delicious dark caramelized mark scorched right in the center.
Texture and cream in harmony: the moment I bit in, a bright, crisp 'crack!' rang out. The thin pastry dough, layered dozens of times over, boasts ultimate crispness, and the yellow custard filling inside melts softly in the mouth like warm vanilla pudding, with zero eggy smell.
It's not overly sweet, and the luxurious scent of vanilla bean spreads subtly — I understood instantly why it's Low & Sweet's bestseller.
Lemon madeleine: tangy lemon glaze over a soft crumb

The plump, shell-shaped madeleine is coated in a thin, translucent lemon sugar icing (glaze) and sprinkled with crushed pistachio for a fresh look.
Balance of sweetness and tartness: as soon as the crisp lemon icing on the surface touches your tongue, the tangy-sweet punch of real lemon juice makes your mouth water instantly. The interior, moist with butter, crumbles softly like a sponge with no dryness at all.
The rich flavor of butter and the freshness of lemon strike a perfect balance, making it a great mood-lifting dessert.
Fig cream cheese financier: chewy figs meet nutty cream cheese
On the dark brown, gold-bar-shaped financier body, chewy simmered semi-dried fig pieces and generous white cream cheese are baked right in.
Layers of texture: baked to bring out the flavor of hazelnut butter (beurre noisette), the surface is chewy while the inside keeps the moist texture unique to financiers. The crisp pop of fig seeds with each bite, the sweet flesh, and the salty, rich cream cheese come together in a luxurious sweet-and-salty harmony.
It paired wonderfully with a sip of the cold americano.
