Yeongdeungpo izakaya private room for three: lemon cream shrimp, Nani

Today I went to a snack-loving izakaya near Yeongdeungpo Station. The vibe was so so good and they even have a room ‼️

The 1st floor at Nani Byeolgwan Yeongdeungpo: seats for solo drinks or a date

Nani Byeolgwan Yeongdeungpo Branch uses the whole 1st and 2nd floors as an izakaya, so it was bigger inside than I expected. I loved the exterior from the start.

This is the 1st floor. It's the first thing you see when you walk in, and it seemed like a great spot for drinking alone or for a date :)

If you go further in from the 1st floor, there's this cool space too 🫢

2nd floor window group table and private room: book ahead

Now onto the 2nd floor! The window is big so you can see the green trees nicely, and there's a big table and a soft sofa for group guests 👍🏻

This is the room! I'd recommend booking ahead 〰️ it's convenient to reserve in advance through Naver Reservation 🙂

The room really is cozy and nice haha. It even has air conditioning so no worries about getting hot. Good good.

What's on the menu and what three of us ordered

Nani Byeolgwan Yeongdeungpo Branch really has such a wide variety of menu items that it was fun just choosing. From skewers to full meals, there was a lot of range, and the drinks lineup covered soju, beer, highballs, even sake, so you can pick to your taste!

How were the chicken skewers and lemon cream shrimp?

The chicken skewers had really tender, soft〰️ meat, and the soy sauce seasoning wasn't overdone but soaked in subtly, so I kept reaching for more. It's already good plain, but dipping it in the mayo that comes with it brought out even more of a nutty flavor 🤤

I'd never had lemon cream shrimp before — the cream sauce wasn't greasy at all, with a subtle bright lemon scent rising up, so I could eat it all the way through without feeling weighed down, and the shrimp were plump too, which I loved 👀

Best dish of the night: pork belly and scallion skewers

I'm giving Nani Byeolgwan's #1 dish to the pork belly & scallion skewers ^.^ The combo of soft, savory pork belly with fragrant scallion was really great. The scallion cut right through the pork belly's richness so it wasn't greasy, and I kept going back for more ‼️

How spicy is the spicy seafood yaki udon?

As the name says, the spicy seafood yaki udon was really packed with seafood — squid, clams, shrimp, all of it evenly mixed in! Also, I was worried because of the word 'spicy,' but it wasn't as spicy as I expected.

Earl grey highball and Kirin draft beer

Since it's definitely an izakaya, the highballs were really good too. They had a clean taste that paired well with the food, and the Kirin draft beer was cold and refreshing, great to drink alongside everything. Even the zero coke didn't come plain — it had a dried lemon? on top, which looked pretty haha.

Is Nani Byeolgwan Yeongdeungpo worth it? Final verdict

• ✔️ Every dish had good quality, and the skewer menu in particular was really impressive.
• ✔️ Beyond drinking snacks, there were plenty of meal options too, so it works whether it's your first stop or your second.
• ✔️ Also satisfying that the drink selection was so wide — soju, beer, highballs, even sake — so you can enjoy it however you like.
• ✔️ The staff were kind and the vibe was great too, so I'd recommend it for dates, friend gatherings, or work dinners.
