At MELA Hongdae, I ordered the minari vongole pasta, the Victoria French toast, and a mini salad to refresh the palate.

The fragrant minari (water dropwort) vongole pasta was loaded with fresh clams, an oil-based pasta with a clean, deep savory flavor.

First off, the portion and the visuals both passed with flying colors!!

The fragrant minari was piled on generously, keeping the dish fresh and full of flavor all the way through without any of the greasiness you'd expect from an oil pasta. It was so good.

Victoria French toast with banana brulee

MELA Hongdae's Victoria French toast came out as moist, fluffy brioche toast topped with a generous chunk of banana brûlée — crisp outside, soft inside.

Topped with sweet cream, one bite filled my mouth with soft, sweet happiness — the best brunch dish.

The brunch menu was so sweet and delicious.

Does the yuzu dressing mini salad work as a side?

The mini salad, with its bright yuzu dressing evenly coating fresh vegetables, kept my palate clean and refreshed.
